This is really cool

re: Again.... you have to move to a 9 or 10 team playoff

I think it would be cool to have a 3 month long playoff that starts the first weekend of september, and even allows you to stay in under certain circumstances if its obvious you're a great team who just had one bad day or tough break. How do we get that?
re: Check out this Ohio State melt over on their board

Um, they seem way more composed than this board. They all seem to think that losing to Iowa by 30 is a disqualifier.

Sorry for the non-SEC reply, but Dan Hawkins started his undersized son at QB for four years at Colorado, and got fired midseason after blowing a 28 point fourth quarter lead to Kansas by throwing the ball on every down while his son was chasing school records. Mathematically, if they had kneeled the ball and ran the clock once they got the 28 point lead, they would have won.
IIRC, that was also the last conference game Kansas won for like five years.

FWIW, it's currently on the 10 o'clock news in Denver right now.

It's very similar to the Mack Brown situation. They humiliated him on the way out, and ended up with Charlie Strong.

you slow driving arse stoners, stay off I-25 until I get through
If parts of 25 through Denver weren't hopelessly under construction for going on 10 frickin years now, I'd probably have time to get annoyed by slow drivers.
Also, just jump on e-470 and bypass Denver altogether. It'll cost you like 4 bucks, but save you a headache.

Not sure if I should be embarrassing my alma mater like this, but "#RollTad" is a thing.

Do you live in Aspen? I lived in Carbondale for a while in the 90's, still have friends in Aspen.
Boulder, though I'm up in Aspen several times a year. I've definitely considered living up there for a winter as well. Walking up to the downtown Gondola for Aspen Mountain is the dream.

Didn't read all 80 replies to this thread, but here's an example of literally -as in literally- every conversation I've had in the deep south in the last three years:
Me: "Yeah I live in Colorado"
Any and everyone I'm talking to: "Ohhhhhhh, Coloraaaaado, eh? :jump2::jump1:"

That's my answer. Saw him do this. In ten years of going to Buffs games, that's the craziest thing I've seen in that stadium

Because I just saw three different threads on Page 1 about Toledo vs Northern Illinois.

Will traffic be gridlock after game to BHam on interstate or are there any backroad routes that are better?
Yes, but not awful. There's construction on 20/59 east of Tuscaloosa right now that's a little brutal.
Oh, and perhaps this is subjective, but when you get to Bham, I feel like 459 has way more traffic than just staying on 20 into downtown.
re: Tuscaloosa Parking Thread

I was there a few weeks ago and parked for free on the street near Government Plaza/23rd Ave & 8th street, only about 3-4 hours before kickoff. I was actually shocked at how open the parking situation is if you're ok walking a bit, and might even say it's the easiest gameday traffic I've ever dealt with. We walked down University Blvd to the stadium, which is the main strip, and it was full of other people even as far west at 8th street. After the game we walked back on Paul W Bryant Drive; TONS of fans walking our direction, tons of cops on traffic control. Never once felt unsafe.
re: Petition to remove Verne and Gary from CBS
Posted by AspenSnowmass on 10/16/15 at 4:46 pm
Gary gives in-depth analysis about stuff most casual viewers would never even notice. It's not always positive, so people get butthurt, wait for Verne to trip over his words once during a four hour broadcast, and use that as proof theyre both over the hill and need to go.
Been listening to this on message boards forever. I also listened to Dave Flemming and Mack Brown on ESPN last night --now THAT was not much fun.
Verne and Gary = GOAT
