re: A sober look at tonight's game

Our defensive front is absolutely outstanding. Maybe we don't have a singular niche, edge-rusher like some teams. But they collapse the pocket quickly and cannot be run on to boot. They're the main reason that game was as close as it was.

Perhaps the tale of the game was the difference in what happened when Bateman threw up a rushed/prayer pass v/s what happened when Kelly threw up a rusher/prayer pass. It was just that kind of night.

I still can't get over that one play. Johnny Manziel 'bobble magic' PLUS 'Miracle in Jordan Hare' all wrapped into one. That's just not right. Nobody's that lucky. The karma payback from that one will be Tennessee post-Fulmer-like. Smoke-em while you got em though I guess.

Couple that plus 5 turnovers from us. AND life-support-level QB play. And yet we still we were still in it against a very good team that will be knocking on the top 5 after this weekend.

It could be worse. We could be Auburn.

I meant LSU can beat Ole Miss. Ole Miss D was solid, but can be ground down.

LSU can beat this team. TA&M . . . maybe? And unless they're '13 Auburn they just cashed in every horseshoe-in-rectum chip they have.

Our defense (by 2015-OL-allowed-in-secondary standards) is great. QB is going to be Mr. Toad's Wild Ride though.

It's just Lane's Xbox and we're all living in it

+5 turnover margin and 'miracle in bryant denny' fluke TD and yet we still had a shot?

That's how good that defensive front is. The offense . . . .

My God they've gotten every break in this game.

Even when they fumble/ground the ball it bounces right back to them.

I was going to say it wouldn't be so frustrating if I thought they were actually better than us. But then I thought about our QB play...

Does GrubHub do liquor delivery too? Because this current bottle may not cut it.
I wouldn't be surprised to see JK Scott trot out there if the struggles continue. Didn't he do spot duty on kickoffs a few times last year? And I know he kicked in high school. I'm sure they'd rather not risk him anymore than they have to given his all-world punting potential. But he may be less intimidated by the spotlight than our current backup.
