re: No State Taxes on NIL

The amount of tax revenue from NIL is negligible for the state. Further, if you don’t make it exempt, then you’ll have to pay more by grossing up to account for taxes- if you want to be competitive. It is what it is.
Great win!

The players haven’t quit and played their hearts out for this win. Yes, the season is pretty much over but what a great win for these guys!
13 Turnovers

11 minutes left. Gotta pump up those numbers! SMH, so ridiculous. So undisciplined.
Are we really this bad?

No penetration to the boards. Sloppy ball control and careless passes. This is hard to watch.
Refs not calling traveling now?

Two instances of vandy players jumping with the ball and no calls from the refs. What gives?
Ball control

Too much sloppy, careless ball handling leading to too many turnovers. If we can get more discipline, we have a legit shot to win this.

Ole Miss got 20+ people through the transfer portal. Seem to be having success with the strategy.
re: How many QBs have been elite freshmen year?

It seemed to work with Burrow. I’m not talking about going after failures but elite guys that may be overlooked for whatever reason. What’s the ceiling for Nuss honestly? Is he going to suddenly develop wheels? Is an elite pocket passer, assuming Nuss gets there, going to give us the edge over a near-elite passer who can run?
How many QBs have been elite freshmen year?

I get that Underwood is good and has great talent, but even looking at Burrow and Daniels, they weren’t becoming elite until junior and senior year. Shouldn’t we be going after those passed over backups at the Ohio States, Georgias, Alabamas, or other places?

That’s fair.

Brian Kelly’s Body Language

It comes off as weak, clueless, and helpless. Sometimes the body betrays the truth.

Also, we should be big enough where we can recognize humor even if it comes from a gump.

Perhaps you’re right but it’s not in the “for you” section.

I have a screenshot. Unless I’m missing something, you can’t post an image that doesn’t have a URL.

It actually is. If you go to trending, then sports, Brian Kelly is top item.

re: Question on passing last night

I will say that the O-line was getting blasted, especially Chester. There were multiple plays where Nuss had to continuously backpedal just to avoid getting stepped on by his own center.
Question on passing last night
Posted by Hoguester on 11/10/24 at 2:10 pm
Was Alabama not giving us passes over the middle or was Nuss just avoiding throwing there? All these short passes and passes to the running back on the outside when we needed long yardage was driving me crazy. Made no sense.

I think that’s why Saban hated gimmicks. Distracting and build false confidence. Focus and execution are what matter.
