Sorry if this is not in the "garden" range for this thread but does anyone know if there is a good time to plant a maple tree in the Hammond area during the fall or would it be best to wait until the spring?

Thats where I live. Moved here a few years ago from the Metairie area, and love every bit of it. 10 minutes from literally everything I need, and no traffic like they have in the Mandeville/Covington area.

And what's troubling about this is these people are only going to stay in those homes for a few years because they are shite. These shite DSLD neighborhoods are going to be filled with poorly made rundown houses which will eventually attract the section 8 demographic because the homes will not be able to be sold for what they are selling for new. The crime and blight that will be coming from these neighborhoods in the next 10-20 years is going to completely ruin the entire area around them.

I think you also have to look at the other reasons public school are losing students that not many want to talk about. Culture in the schools. Most parents who can afford to send their kids to private or catholic schools do so for the simple reason of not wanting their child around thuggish behavior and the issues that come from kids who parents use the school as a daycare.

A cap full of this during the soaking process and you'll have the taste you're looking for. You can usually buy this at seafood shops.
