That's pretty bad for Tenn to wait until after signing day to announce Anderson was leaving, that deal had to have been done when Elander was named head coach.
Good. I hope they're gutted by the news. But, I'm sure these kids and their families weren't as surprised as you are.
I hope Nuss gets healthy for Oklahoma.
I want a calculated and diverse 2 QB attack with a healthy Nuss and Van Buren in Norman.

I'm not sure this board could handle Lane Kiffin and Will Wade in house.

I'm incapable of making the decision. I thought BK was a safe hire, given his experience and track record, even though BK diehards told me he was a prick that players, coaches, and fans resented. The layers of a coach are hard to peel off, and it's hard to predict how they'll actually do at such a pressure cooker as LSU. I just hope the very best for the program. The state/region is loaded with talent, the LSU brand speaks for itself, and we'll seemingly have NIL to compete on that front. But, BK is a perfect example that even all of those things don't ensure consistent success, especially in the SEC.

How do know she isn't just scoping things out for Knox and/or Landry? Knox is a 2028 recruit, and Landry may be considering the move to be by Whit.

Anyone know of a stream for Bonnabel v Riverdale tonight?
re: Do we really want Saban?
Posted by DRock88 on 11/11/25 at 6:26 pm to Lighteningbolt
I think that what's missing here is that the structure of the college football front office has evolved. Saban doesn't have to love NIL or really deal with it. He just calls the shots for his staff to execute. Obviously we'd hope that he'd be more personally involved with it than Kelly seemingly was, but maybe Saban really doesn't have to be. Kelly is not Saban. Saban would even be able to do more with less if it came to it.
I still consider Saban a long shot, but I'd be ecstatic if he decided to return to LSU. At worst, he gives us hope. At best, he gives us another natty and rides back off into the sunset after having rebuilt what seems like a sinking ship.

It's Saban.

He must not believe he did anything contractually wrong. I hope we have a boatload of dirt on the guy that leaves him with $0 buyout and little to no shot at another head coaching hire. He was a prick from day one.
re: Kelly offered a settlement at 43 million
Posted by DRock88 on 11/11/25 at 11:26 am to tigersquad89
If we have to pay that much without recompense if he coaches elsewhere, we might as well throw all of the dirt out.
The only reason to keep his dirt under wraps is to better his chances of getting hired elsewhere to offset the buyout. If it comes to that, we might as well kiss his arse up and down the media.

Cliffs:
Jay believes the team will be able to thump. But, noted in a sense that you can thump during the season but the CWS requires a more diverse offensive approach. He liked the quality at bats and low K rate through most of the scrimmages. Likes the depth of the position players.
Brown should be one of the best players in America, and isn't even a finished product. He keeps getting better, and is a leader.
Pitching will be a strength. Good outing for Moore, Evans, Garcia, and Paz. Happy with Schmidt, happy to see Rizy wiggle out of a jam.
Impressed with Reaves, especially his defense at 2B.
Team is ahead of where they were at this time last year, but still alot to figure out.
SLU will be a good test. Very experienced team with good arms.

Not that I'm just noticing today, but we have an insane amount of quality arms. I think we're as deep as ever at almost every position, too. Now it's just finding out who will step up.

Bottom of 7
Other teams do such a better job of getting guys in space. We need to run the ball, but we have too many electric playmakers to primarily throw under 15 yds and outside the numbers. Our scheme is just too predictable, especially given the talent/speed we have at the skill positions.

I'm hearing that he's going to IMG next year. Can anyone confirm?
