How is the status of playground tackle football.

Playground tackle football is still pretty good on the Eastbank and Westbank, but also dying some. The parish all star teams still do well in the tournaments in Gatlinburg at the 10U and 12U level. East and West combine now, too, though. The 10U team went undefeated and unscored upon until the ship in TN, but lost 6-0 on an early fluke TD, fumbled multiple times, etc. They played some big NORD teams before TN, too. The 12U team never lost a game. Beat Curtis' 6th grade team badly, some NORD teams, and swept TN pretty easily. Christian Brothers takes some kids away from JPRD for football now.
Rummel won't use either of their top 2 arms but they swing the bats well. You're going to have to score some runs.

I’m doubtful it’s made at all this year. I’m not sure how exactly that’d help things.

Correct. Evans battled his tail off last night anyway. I just like to occasionally sarcastically speak in absolutes like alot of people do here.

If he continues at this pace today, they'll make the move next week.
BM beat Karr this morning, so they will be co-champs with the winner of the Rummel v Jesuit game tonight.
It's still fairly competitive in all stars in Jefferson Parish, but the rec leagues before all stars are very top heavy especially at the smaller parks like Cleary. Eastbank still puts some good all star teams out there in the 9/10 and 11/12 divisions from Girard, Lakeshore, Pontiff, Miley, and sometimes Cleary. When it gets to 13 and up, it gets watered down alot more. JPRD Eastbank still pretty much runs the state in 13 and up because it's even more watered down around the state. Westbank is done until 13 and up. I guess some of the kids come back.

This is going to piss Wade off, and that's a good thing.

I really like this order. Back to his R/L sequencing. Hunter Elliot is a handful, though. I feel like he's been there for 8 years.
Milam will probably play 2B in the shift on lefties

Rummel and Jesuit are scoreless early. Nugent v Dugan so runs may be hard to come by but you never know in that league.

BM beat Karr 15-0. BM sat their starting position players, except for the youngsters. They threw their ace for 40 pitches then an inning each for 2 of their better relievers. While I don't believe they're concerned with losing to Karr even with their backups, I assume the approach means they know that they'll be the 1 or 2 seed in the playoffs.

And, yes, I believe the power rating for BM reflects their schedule. They have played alot of baseball and mostly against good competition. They threw games away against Jesuit and Curtis handling bunt coverage and the running game, or they'd otherwise have walked through the district.

Make no mistake, Catholic is still the team to beat.
I'm really not sure. Catholic League Sports posts them periodically but I'm kinda spitballing off of memory.
51% chance to make it to Omaha.

13% chance to win the whole thing.

Holy Cross beat Rummel to split the series.

BM swept Aug, Curtis swept Karr, and Jesuit swept Easton.

Final series of district will be BM v Karr, Rummel v Jesuit, HC v Aug, and Curtis v Easton.

Unless I miscalculated, the district title likely depends on the Rummel v Jesuit series (unless BM loses a game to Karr). Rummel sweeps, BM wins it. Split, BM and Jesuit share the title, Jesuit sweeps, BM wins it.

Regardless, I don't think BM will hold onto the 1 seed in Select. I just hope they hold onto #2.
I think only Reece and Miller haven't really said that they're going to the portal.

I assume one or both could leave.

I also assume that we'd at least talk to a few about a deal to stay.

It could be all or most.

hannagriff read his recruiting bio which says OF/1B, kinda like all the fans who think he played first base for the same reason

Most fans also think they could play 1B. How hard could it be?

Bethune Cookman isn't terrible.
I didn't realize the board had so many umpires. It was a terrible call. Deal with it.
