re: Why Don't The Saints Put A Premium On The TE Position?
Posted by Superboy3209 on 4/8/23 at 4:41 pm
I agree. Our scouting department for TE's suck. Its alw good to have a TE that can catch and be reliable. It helps out the run and the pass. With no TE, you cant run.

We have to make it work....
Saints' D-Line and Development
Posted by Superboy3209 on 4/25/22 at 11:09 am
We Draft D-lineman all day AND early. The problems are:
A. They go through growing pains
B. They can't stay healthy
C. We have a hard time developing them
A. The growing pains are real with the d-linemen we draft. As early as we draft them, they are SUPPOSED to come out Game 1 with their hair on fire. We haven't gotten that type of action in a while since drafting them early; which we always do.
B. Our D-lineman that we draft early can't stay healthy. I know 14-16 games is grueling; but the games you play, we don't see production; so we often worry what is going on when you are NOT on the field; especially when trading a future first round to get you (Davenport).
C. As talented as our D-lineman are in college, every now and then, we see flashes; but nothing consistent. Third down is the money down, no way you shouldn't be pressuring the quarterback more; but looking for your check every Tuesday. Our division is talented, but as many picks we invent into specifically our DE's we don't see production, if not can't staying on the field. You cant ask Cam to keep making plays for what Davenport and Turner should be doing consistently. Is it a coaching issue? It cant be a talent issue with us drafting them so early and being high on the draft boards.

It feels go to be released from big contracts that you don't get the production from. The question is HOW do you sucker another team to take them.

Sean can handle who they draft, not the injury list. At best, he can not select players who don't have consecutive injuries in college, which he does sometimes.
If he ever loses his job, we can all agree that he will probably get hired as a defensive line coach, based on him always drafting d-lineman.
Is it really Sean not finding the right players or Micky not being able to find players and sign them?, much less pay the wrong players too much money

Brian Kelly from ND to LSU... recruiting the Catholic school community to LSU?
Posted by Superboy3209 on 11/30/21 at 9:04 am
Could the hiring of Brian Kelly to LSU be a non-verbal way of letting LSU faithful know they are trying to recruit more kids from the Baton Rouge and New Orleans Catholic school community?
It may be a reach out to schools like Rummel, Holy Cross, St. Aug., BR-Catholic, Shaw, etc to look more into getting the parents to get their kids to look at LSU for not just football, but other sports as well; also coming to LSU to major in STEM and other majors.
Could this hiring all be a play in this? Why would BK leave ND anyways? He had everything he needed there. Why start over with us and come to a conference that has no patience for you to grow as a coach and demands to "Win Now" or leave?

Do they really not trust Tua to give up 3 years of the teams future for a quarterback that has 22 cases against him? What happens to Tua after this? Free agent?
Do you listen to S.O.T.S. on Youtube?

Do you ever listen to the State of the Saints Podcast on Youtube? The host T.J. hits on some good points to improve the team and also takes calls.
re: Who was QB when you became a Saints fan?

Easy.... Bobby Hebert... the guy who said on his podcast last year that said, "the Saints are so successful, until they are not successful."

I would ask him about the salary cap.
I'm dating a Saints ex-players' cousin in Houston....
Posted by Superboy3209 on 5/8/21 at 9:06 pm
I am dating one of Deuce McAllister's cousins. As soon as she told me that she was from Lema, MS, I instantly knew that Deuce was from there based on following the Saints for so long, so I brought him up to her.
She told me that she was his second-cousin. She opened up so far and told me a few things like he's named after his dad, they don't treat him like some amazing superstar in his hometown when he visits, etc.
I told her when he was playing for the Saints, that he built this nice house in St. Charles Parish with Lambo's parked around the house not far from my middle school; and I heard a few years ago that he may have lost the house. She wasn't surprised.
Any questions you can think of that I should ask her to see if she would admit or open up to? I will share in a post when she does. :rotflmao:

Makes me feel good that I had UH season tickets a few years ago.

Will Ciara do free concerts? God, I hope not. She can stay where she's at. Hopefully Russell doesn't get a baby-mama in New Orleans. You know how easy it is. :banghead:
Lost to Wisconsin..... remember?
Posted by Superboy3209 on 12/3/20 at 1:50 am
Remember in 2016 at the beginning of the season when LSU played Wisconsin @ Wisconsin? Of course you do.
To me personally, there has never been a worst LSU loss when we loss to them; at least in the modern LSU era. Why? Because we took our cajun/creole asses up there and loss; from a team that was outside of the conference, despite it being the first game of the year.
I know losses happen, its sports, I get it. But losing to a team that is not within the family stings; and its a sting that lasts for a while. We played in legendary Packer stadium, on a hot September day; which is normal weather for us; not Wisconsin, had plans to Lambeau leap after a touchdown; but was told NOT to by coaches, and came back down south 0-1.
Losing a football game to a brother-conference school is bad, but we will see them again: Alabama, Texas A&M, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi State. But when you lose to a team, no matter where it is played, and they are NOT a brother school and you don't see them often or never will again, it stings.
The Wisconsin Badgers played a good game. I'm not taking anything from them. But this loss still is in the back of my mind. Yes, we have won the National Championship since then, but its that ONE team that you wish that you could have played again. This loss is still in the back of my head and occasionally comes to the front of my head to tell me: remember that time when your tigers went to Wisconsin and came back to Baton Rouge like their pet owner smeared their droppings in their face after they used it on the carpet?

Could Hill run the triple option/Flexbone offense with Kamara and friends? Would it work?

What make you think the BR parishes would want to deal with 2 loud games 2 times a week?

Fred Thomas tortured is. He was really playing on the opposite team every time he was on the field.

Only if we installed a NASCAR package like the Giants use to use with Strahan, Osi, and the rest of the gang.
