Caden Durham to portal?

Posted by 7Tiger7 on 12/27/25 at 2:56 pm
Per Lonn, Durham’s last game is today vs Houston… man, if true, that would suck.

Between Brad Davis, Sloan, and Frank Wilson, lots of failure. No way LSU should have an empty cupboard. Pathetic coaching and lack of quality recruiting has turned the offensive side of the ball into a shitshow…
Good point. Great to get ahead of the curve and have backups to fill if need be. Dont necessarily have to promote them right away because I know LSU can attract the best but still nice to have someone instead of no one and having to scramble.
Would be great planning to get ahead of the curve especially with Baker already getting multiple looks this cycle and taking Peoples with him. Dont necessarily have to promote Kiffin and Spanos to permanent spots but good to have backups just in case…
Hopefully. Was an analyst for OM since 2023 so maybe just a title upgrade and still an analyst?

Try to get one of the A&M RBs?

Keeping Berry, Durham, and getting Lacy would be the most ideal but I doubt we get to keep all 3 in the same room. I know Kevin Smith had a meeting with Berry and his parents to keep him locked in at LSU. You all know damn well FW gonna use his familiarity to try bring him to OM. Durham is the unknown as well. Been hurt a bunch so has potential but hasnt shown it.

Rueben Owens and Le’Veon Moss are the 2 to watch imo. Owens had a good season with Moss hurt, but now with Moss being healthy, splitting carries between them might be tough. If Lacy sticks with OM (Rumors about crazy NIL bump), I would definitely kick the tires on A&M RBs and potentially add someone like CJ Baxster from UT as well…
We need someone like this to come and develop. Need someone who doesnt mind sitting and taking the time to truly understand the game. What I would do is, take a guaranteed starter, add a JUCO QB, then someone like this…

Pathetic how bad our QB room is.

Seems like he’s already “hired” at LSU. HS recruit tagging him on X but it was an LSU offer, Lane reposting something mentioning him, USCe podcasts/insiders saying Lucas informed them he’s leaving and they have someone lined up to replace him…

Tulane is working to bring Chris Forestier into the program as its special teams coordinator, sources tell FootballScoop. Forestier is finishing his second season on Steve Sarkisian's Texas Longhorns staff as a senior analyst working with Longhorns special teams coordinator Jeff Banks. Already, Forestier owns deep experience coaching in the state of Louisiana. In addition to seven seasons as a special teams assistant at LSU under both Ed Orgeron and Brian Kelly, Forestier also served a year as a graduate assistant coach at Northwestern State in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
It has potential to be cool. Imo, OU didnt execute it right. Lots of wasted space filling animations.

That’s why I added I hope he leaves knowing Beamer is on the hot seat. Let’s see if he gambles and sticks with the home-team though…

Gotta remember Lucas is a South Carolina native as well. He’s home. Also has I believe 2 young kids.

Lucas hire NOT final

Posted by 7Tiger7 on 12/20/25 at 4:43 pm
Look, we can’t just keep jumping the gun. Have to distinguish between targeting and having discussions vs actually finalized…

Something to note, I believe Lucas got a recent pay bump from roughly $575,000 to $775,000. Kyle Williams contract was has a three-year contract starting at $700,000 in 2025, escalating to $775,000 in 2026, and $850,000 in 2027. Peoples made $700,000. So we either give Lucas a significant bump or hope he leaves USCe knowing Beamer is on the hot seat…

Numerous sources Friday morning tell FootballScoop that Lucas is being targeted by the Tigers to join the staff of heralded defensive coordinator Blake Baker. No deal has been finalized but discussions were ongoing.
The hire official official or are we just waiting?
I think it would be a combined effort. However, I do see Peoples moving inside and Lucas can coach the Edge… they both have a mixed time coaching DL and Edge so would be a decent move imo
