And to think, so many still want to deny this happened.
I don’t deny any numbers, or that any atrocities were real.
I do wonder why any group hell bent on extinction of a race would take the time to tattoo them or spend the money to cut their hair. Why give them prison uniforms? Why provide them with razors for shaving?
I will never understand the lengths Germany went, to spend funds on these people during a war effort, on a group of people that they wanted exterminated.
I have looked for books on this topic but they always trend towards the denial side.

What’s the status of those new laws that said electorates will move their ballots to the popular vote? If trump wins PV, does he challenge states like California to uphold their new law?

That famed 1988 corvette was also geared and tired for top speed only. An unusable car day to day. More like a salt flat racer.
C8 is boring fast. Engineered to feel heavy and stable. I own old cars with equal horsepower to the C8 and those feel exciting at 60mph. C8 gets up to 100 with no effort on an on ramp. I cannot imagine how fast the new ZR1 feels.

re: OT Mechanics: Standard transmission issue

I’ve rebuilt my Muncie a few times and I have spent probably the exact same in tools and time that a shop would charge overall.
Expect to need bearing pullers, a press, and a transmission jack of some sort for you to do it right.
My Muncie does have synchros and straight cut gears, but the PO just used ATF fluid instead of the correct GL fluid. I rebuilt it with the same parts, noted no major damage, put good GL-4 in it and it ran great.
Maybe you get lucky and have a similar experience.

I had one taken out recently with nasty long roots and it was a tough healing. 24 hours to calm the bleeding. Couldn’t talk for 2 days. Affected talking and activities for a week at least. Fully normal at end of second week.
Pain was not bad, aleve works well on me. Just an intrusion into my work life when leading meetings or talking through issues.
I are thinned out instant mashed potatoes mixed with chicken broth for meals and sugar free pudding mixed with water. I couldn’t tolerate much more than that for a week or more.

Once you get used to it, you’re ready for more. It’s an addiction the likes of a drug habit.
That’s a fact. I got a C8 last year and it feels downright boring when you aren’t breaking the law. Looks cool, feels futuristic compared to my shite bag daily.
C8 is so well balanced that I take it for granted. I will keep pushing the norm until I shift during a turn and I feel it slide just a little and realize that I used to take that corner 20 mph lower.
That little catch of the breath when you don’t know if you are about to go sideways is very helpful to keep me from killing myself.
re: How much to drop an LS3 into an old hoe?
Posted by Haplochrom on 2/25/24 at 7:58 am
Rebuilt 4.8/5.3 with a hot cam is under $2500 if you do it yourself and you can make the same horsepower as a “stock” 6.2 LS.
If you go to a newer 6.2 LT that stuff is more advanced than LS on cam timing/oil squirters/cylinder drop/direct injection.
I am fine buying 4.8 that never had those features for $250/ea at junk yards and using the extra money for power adders.
People want a 6.2 for the name but that low end torque is what crushes stock transmissions. Softer low end of a 4.8 and a better converter can make a trans last longer with the exact same hp numbers on a dyno.

re: What is with Twitter people calling "cis" a slur?
Posted by Haplochrom on 5/3/23 at 10:06 am
Cis is Latin for “on this side”, trans is Latin for “on the other side”, and ultra is Latin for “beyond”.
It’s like saying that “infra” is not a word but understanding that “infrastructure” has a Latin basis for its etymology.

re: Has anyone tried Clenbeuterol?
Posted by Haplochrom on 1/7/23 at 8:09 pm
Truthfully, stay away. It affects smooth muscle which cannot handle the stresses that your standard muscles can absorb. It also has a half life that starts stacking if you take it daily getting your dosage very high very quick. All in all there is too much downside for a normal person to get a temporary result.
If you have a good source, use thyroid medicine and ephedra for better weight loss results than Clen with less sides.
If you are combining with cardio, source albuterol not in inhalers or provigil to allow longer/intense cardio.
