I love these type of stories bc of how skillfully they only show one tiny sliver of China. Meanwhile I am currently in Zhengzhou posting from Surfshark and it looks like a bomb went off in Atlanta. There is so much poverty once you leave the "tier 1" cities it is unfathomable to the western mind

How is it similar to Atlanta? Population wise?

I’m so sick of China sending all of their junk products into our country. It’s all crap. Haven’t you noticed how everything breaks nowadays because it’s manufactured so cheaply?
What happened to MADE IN THE USA.???
Walmart used to proudly display that on all of the American made products and goods that they were selling back in the 80s and 90s.
Then because of NAFTA, everything changed—-AND PRACTICALLY NOTHING is made in America anymore!! It’s horrible!
Trump is trying to revive America and you’re over here saying he’s bringing the country down!
You don’t even know what NAFTA is. You’re not informed. You’re clueless.
Anyone that thinks Trump isn’t trying to restore America’s greatness is just a fool. Have you not seen all of the companies that have recently committed themselves to a huge investment in the American economy??
Do you know about:
1. The Taiwanese microchip maker
2. Hyundai Motors
3. Apple/ IPhone

I doubt your news sources have even mentioned that these are just 3 of the companies that have met with Trump and have already promised to move jobs here.

Yes. I’m waiting to hear some co worker speak up on his behalf or some neighbor saying what a great guy he is.
But nothing.

That speaks volumes!

Dentist here— it’s pretty uncommon that a self-paid plan is worth it. You typically either get a cheap plan that doesn’t cover much or an expensive plan that you’ll rarely get full value from. Most of the time you’re best off to self pay. Many offices will give an in house membership plan, or if you have a bigger cost treatment, a percentage cash discount when paid in full.

Insurance agent here. He’s right. People are always asking me for dental insurance. I tell them I have plenty of plans that I can show them, but they’re not any good. A typical plan pays a maximum of $1000 or $1500. You can increase the max with some companies, but as he said, it’s not cost effective

I see what you did there. Great historical reference. Good one.
Yes you are absolutely correct that construction itself will create thousands of jobs and help the economy. That being said, you’re still just a MAGA Hitler loving, black hating racist. lol
Has there been one already?
I think that could be a good movie. They were mocked and faced a lot of skepticism but they persevered.

I think this is what happened. The Anti-2 crowd went after it hard on every social media site and every teacher in my Facebook feed repeated the same lines against it. I didn't see any pro amendment 2 on social media at all to try to combat it.

I didn’t see all that; I don’t use social media very much. What were the teachers saying was bad about #2?

I would vote against Les Misérables. That was a snooze fest and one of the few books I've ever given up on.

I could t finish Watership Down, for the same reason.

Yeah, like all 5 of my siblings. All liberal democrats.

If it creates American jobs, then I’m for it. I’ll gladly pay more for a product if it’s made in the USA.

Paul Shaffer memoir

I enjoyed reading this. A lot of great stories. He knows everyone in the music industry. There’s stories about James Brown, Bob Dylan, Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr.

He talk a lot about his Jewish faith. I didn’t even know he was Jewish.

But I would recommend it.

I love all this oilfield terminology.
I wish I understood it.

It’s all fake. Why would anyone go to a Bernie rally right after a presidential election? What’s their motive?
Are they just there to listen?
It’s just some kind of tour where he makes vague comments about oligarchs. I listened to the rally in Iowa. It was so pointless. I didn’t understand the crowd’s enthusiasm. It all seemed so fake and orchestrated.
Why do most gays automatically despise Trump?

What did he ever do or say that has alienated him with gays?

I guess because he’s anti-DEI

Has anyone ever made fruit compote?

It’s more of an English dish, but I’d like to try it.
This story sounds so strange. Why would 4 people all respond the same way. Why suicide?
Why isn’t this discussed more? It just doesn’t make sense that 4 officers would choose to kill themselves.
What did I miss? What are u referring to?
