I remember a few years back when some of those guys were doing a little tournament at the old spot in Metairie. Drove down mostly to watch Efren Reyes while I had the chance, the room was packed.

Thanks for the heads up on the timing, I will hold off a few weeks.

Also, planning to cut grass tomorrow afternoon once the sun has had a chance to soak up most of the water from the storm. Spread after the cut?

That’s what I thought, thank you. In Baton Rouge, which pre-emergent would you suggest? I’m assuming I should spread this weekend. St. Aug and Bermuda, for the most part, in my yard.

Pre-emergent question

I’ve been spraying VBW, spurge, nutsedge and other pesky weeds in my newly regenerated yard since last year’s destruction due to the dry spell and heavy machinery running through my yard last winter. They are still hanging around and I’m working on neutralizing it, but do I also need to spread pre-emergent going into the fall/winter or is that a waste since it’s still pretty present/prevalent?

I'm not as old as some of you guys, so I don't remember much before John Brady. That was one of the funnest sporting events I ever witnessed. It was a 3 hour party.

Happened to walk by Frank's just now on the way back to the hotel. Stood in line for a slice, ate it outside on the sidewalk, so good I had to wait in line to get another slice. I love those kinds of pizza joints.

At the height of the flight, I thought Bingham had the better chance to snag it from where I was sitting (208). When I saw him pull up, I thought it would drop. Was blown away at the extension from Kling.

What are some recommendations for these categories:
- Deli/sandwich
- authentic Mexican
- steakhouse
- pizza
- barbecue
- premium cocktails

If there’s anything in general that I absolutely must try, those are welcome too. TIA

ETA don’t know which part of town quite yet, but preliminary suggestions will suffice.

I did not find this show to be as enjoyable as Love on the Spectrum for some reason. It didn't seem as innocent. I think maybe the poetry guy just creeped me out lol

You mean you didn't enjoy the scene where the girl is spilling her heart out about her dad leaving when he found out she had downs, and her mom dying at a young age, only to have the male date panic and boop her on the nose to change the subject? I thought it was riveting.

Legal firearm transfer in Louisiana

I have a weapon that needs to be gifted legally to another person. What are the steps?

Two sinks at my house have hot water but no cold

Same question, but in reverse.

Sink and tub in room farthest from water heater have cold water but no hot. Middle section of house has everything in working order. When I turn on both sink and tub hot water, nothing happens. When both are open and i ALSO open the cold tub faucet, the sink (while still on hot setting) starts flowing warm water, not hot. I am 99% sure hot pipes only run through attic. Washing machine is the closest thing to water heater that has hot and cold lines, hot water runs normally through there (just checked).

What am I looking at here?

Banana plants outside - cold question

Posted by TronWall on 1/13/24 at 3:37 pm
The last time we had a hard freeze in baton rouge for a couple days, my banana plants in the ground (5’-8’ varying from plant to plant) all collapsed and a couple weeks later I cut them about 3” above the ground with a machete. They came back and grew to the same height this year, which is good. My question is, for best growth in the spring, should I leave them as is and have them grow back naturally, should I hack them before the freeze, or should I do just like last time and hack after the freeze? I’d like to keep them growing each year.
TIA
Any tickets available? I’m just amped up enough to cheer for anything purple and gold
