re: ESPN has LSU losing out and not making a bowl game
Posted by TigerattheU on 10/19/25 at 9:04 pm to TX Tiger
He had LSU at #11 last week and dropped them out of his playoff bracket after the loss. Which do you think is more likely - he thinks LSU will lose to Western Kentucky or he forgot to slot them into a bowl game?

The tickets I ordered through LSU are in Section V.

NCAA Football 2026 will only play on the newest Xbox and PlayStation consoles
These consoles came out in November 2020. It's not realistic to imply the players in the game all have to go out and buy a brand new console to play EA Sports College Football 2026. If they haven't bought a video game console in the last 5 years they do.

I just got two in 302 on the right field side. We sat there on Friday night just to get a feel of the stadium, and the seats are not bad at all. For that game, I walked up to the ticket office in the afternoon and got two for $55 each. The club area and seats are really nice, but we already splurged once on those for the Arkansas game.
Heading home tomorrow morning. If you are on the fence about visiting Omaha, make the trip. It's been a great time.

Hundreds of bills and resolutions make their way through every legislative session. This doesn't mean that a relatively unimportant topic is getting an inordinate amount of attention.

This became a reasonable number of people after I realized it is for 2 studio shows and 2 games.

Disney is slowly turning the screws too. Sunday night I could still watch the LSU game because it was on ESPN+, but for some reason on Monday the FSU game was not available on ESPN+. Why would that be?
I think because the LSU-USC game aired on ABC, and the FSU-Boston College game was on ESPN. Scroll down to this chart that lists ESPN+ as an option when the MNF games air on ABC but not ESPN only (except for the HOF game for some reason).
Last year the dispute with Spectrum lasted past Week 2 of college football until hours before the first MNF game.

In the 12-team format, the six highest-ranked conference champions will receive a bid, along with the next six highest-ranked teams.
If there's no Pac-12 champion because there's no Pac-12, that's something that will have to be revisited. What's awkward about it is Pac-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff is one of the 10 FBS commissioners who makes those decisions, along with Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick.
It was too early following the news for any concrete answers as to if and how the model might change, and how it could impact conference champions. "I certainly understand why people need to ask the question," CFP executive director Bill Hancock told ESPN. "The fact is that it's too soon to say. The CFP management committee and board of managers will discuss the future if and when it becomes appropriate. Of course, none of this will affect the four-team playoff this year." -- Dinich
