Site is saying I’m signed out. How do I log back in?
quote:

Agree, but the comment was made as if his moves were all positives. Trading away players the quality of AD and Jrue for those assets is not a positive overall in terms of the quality of players and has to be taken into account.

Not sure how you could interpret my comment as all his moves being positive. The point was that he’s made out to be this idiot but he probably did a B-/C+ job. Zion is probably a D.
quote:

With what he had to work with, you think that was great?

Not great. Competent I would say.

quote:

Also traded away AD and Jrue along the way to get those assets

Yeah that’s usually how assets are acquired.

quote:

wasted multiple assets on players that did not fit (to get them and get rid of them).

Agreed. He made plenty of mistakes around the fringes. But for the meat of the roster he did an ok job of surrounding Zion with talented players.
quote:

I remember when Griff had a #1 pick in a draft with a generational talent and a massive warchest on top of it. No GM has ever had it so good. It seemed like a situation too good to screw up.

If our star player wasn't a child and we didn’t have some of the worst injury luck in the league, nobody would think Griff was that bad.

Brought in BI, CJ, Murray, Jonas. Drafted Herb, Trey, Missi, Jose (udfa).

If Zion reached even some of his potential we would’ve been a consistent playoff team at minimum.

Joe was someone I was very familiar with

This about sums it up with Gayle and Mickey

Jay was pissed at Brown there
quote:

Jay did a good job of putting together a weak early schedule to inflate these kids’ stats

You think Jay asked two power five teams to back out of series at the last minute?
Buddy you need to be institutionalized
quote:

In the first half they call nothing. They let both teams play physical, the teams play to how the game is being called. Then, like clockwork, the officials completely flip the way they are calling the game in the second half.

This happens constantly in college basketball and it infuriates me. Completely ruins the flow of the game.

And unctiger4 was the only player to guess the race podium correctly, and not only that, he got the first five positions correct ( check out his scorecard). So his scorecard started out great, but somehow he only scored a P5 finish in the race.

1- Wade’s downfall at LSU was unfortunate. Arguments that he was rightfully fired and that LSU should have stuck with him both have merit. 2- McMahon was a coach who had interest from other schools. Namely, he was South Carolina’s first choice. He had a good resume, and was not considered a bad hire. 3- Wade rehabbed his career in a big way at McNeese and scored a job at a school that is not LSU. He never is nor was he ever going to return to LSU. The Wade book is closed, we should leave it on the shelf. 4- McMahon has proven to be a bad hire. He’s recruited better than I thought he would early on, but he’s developed no one and his in-game coaching has produced losing basketball. A 14-45(?) SEC record speaks for itself. 5- Woodward should have cut his losses and moved on from McMahon. For whatever reason he decided to keep McMahon it puts LSU in a lame duck season and only delays the inevitable. There is little chance that McMahon turns this around. The overwhelming likelihood is that we’ll be starting from scratch next year at this time, a year later than we should have. The NIL stuff is great, but we’re only going up to the level everyone else has been. Still others are ahead. Most kids are going to choose to play at a school they’ve seen play in the tournament, where they have a reasonable belief they can play for a championship. That’s not LSU currently. The End

Thank you for bringing the only sane basketball analysis I’ve seen on this board in months.

You are obviously in denial and trying to talk yourself into liking this. This is a terrible signing for that amount of money.

Only 26mil guaranteed for 3 years at a premium position for a team with plenty of cap space. Hardly any risk there.

The name and everything in that tweet feels like a massive troll account.

That’s because he’s 100% trolling. All his comments are to rile people up.

Still a massive douche for getting streams shut down.

Nah. We’re an absolute JOKE in basketball

True, sadly.

Also true. I miss him dearly.

Wade was unnecessarily fired.

Impossible to know this unless you have inside info you’re not willing to share.

correct

Strong critical thinking skills there
quote:

The only time ULL is relevant to me is when we play them in any sport. And more times than not, they come with some bullshite like what the basketball coach did when we played them in the NIT that time when he said LSU was "scared" to do a regular season series with them. General Wade shot that down pretty quickly.

That coach was a douche for sure. If they started challenging us I’d obviously root for them to fail but they seem pretty harmless. I find myself pulling for Tulane and Tech sports more than ULL.
quote:

Because each fan base laughs when the other loses plus it's rare LSU fans call other in-state schools "little brother."

I’ve never talked to an LSU fan in person that’s cared about ULL one way or another. But on here I see constant bashing. TD is a weird place.
Never pulled against the Cajuns in my life despite the “Louisiana” moniker being cringey. But now? May the Curse of Cajunomics cause you great suffering.
quote:

This is true which is why Woodward is a fat retard for running of a coach who finally had us consistently good and seemed content being here

Can’t believe Woodward ran him off for no reason at all. Just because he wanted to. No other possible reason. All Woodward’s fault.

I think he’s good for most games but somewhat lacking in the big moments. His call on Tommy’s walk off against WF was rough.
