I was at that Shanahans show also, man I miss seeing them in small venues like that. Their energy was unreal at that time. Chino still had his dreads. Got to hang out on their tour bus afterwards for a bit with all four guys. Even got my Adrenaline CD signed, great times…

Man this new record is killer. Amazing that they’re still putting out quality stuff 30 yrs later. My vinyl copy will be arriving soon, it may not leave the turntable all weekend…

One listen through and I love it, but I’m a huge fan from the very beginning. You can tell the guys were focused & locked in on this one. Some of the guitar tones are downright filthy. Abe is killing it as usual and Chino sounds incredible. Top tier Deftones record…

This Bluesville Acoustic Sounds series is really good. The mastering is fantastic!

I’m starting to really like it now. I’m the biggest Dax fan but this one took a little longer to digest for me. Sounds great on good speakers I must say, and he still can sing his arse off!
Got some new records and a new cart to help me ride out this snowstorm. Stay safe all my South Louisiana friends…

Spent a good bit of time with the Sonetto 3’s thus far, mostly playing CD’s. Initially I hear lots of detail and better controlled bass response than the Dali’s. I love my Dali’s, they’re a great lower end speaker, but I think I’ve reached a notch higher with these guys. And most importantly, they seem to gel nice with my room, which was my main problem with my Focal Aria 948’s. I can’t wait to get my table back in a few days to really see what they can do. Only ran em so far with my Odyssey Khartago amp, I’ll eventually hook up the Peachtree and see what happens with that 400 watts per channel.

I’ll also have a new cartridge to break in…

I’m in as well! :dude:
Turntable is in the shop getting fitted for a new cartridge, so I’m going digital tonight. I did pick these up today and they sound pretty amazing…

Sonus Faber Sonetto 3 G1’s

Couldn’t have said it better regarding those two records!

So far I’ve gotten through the ST & WFTS (like you) and they both are really good! So happy to have proper 33rpm releases now. Can’t wait to get to the rest, I have plenty records from the holidays to get to actually after hitting up those 50% sales.
What did you think of the sound? Some people have reported issues but so far so good here. And for those who missed out on the box set, they’re about to release the titles individually…

Yeah think I’ll cave in, I have all the 45 AP’s and they’re great but you know 45…
Recently grabbed a Strange Days DCC 33 for $250 and man it’s glorious. Was gonna hunt down LA Woman next but this will be a cheaper option and should be neck & neck sound wise I’m thinking…
A buddy of mine who was tight with Dax back in the day ran into him a month ago and he told me the same thing about an October album. I didn’t want to get too excited but now I can’t help myself. He also said that Dax has not aged well this past decade whatever the hell that means… :rotflmao:
