barbe isnt really recruiting but yea sam is. 2 kids from jennings that still live in jennings. multiple kids from south lake charles going there over barbe because of some stupid class they have that allows them to go. Lacassines best player suddenly moved in. barbe has had people move in. Zaylon moved in starting 7th grade or maybe 6th. the Talon Sweat kid moved in from texas over the summer randomly, Im pretty sure his dad got trasnferred in as they were in a good school in texas. Littleton literally moved from sulphur to LC. Thats going to happen, people move for school districts all the time. What you dont see is usually is barbe taking kids from other high schools. The SLC kid mentioned...he lived in Barbes Zone for 10+ years and left SLC for other reasons and you dont transfer from playing middle infield to go be the right fielder at Barbe . But Barbe never really takes kids from other high schools. I think there was a live oak kid that moved last year or something but someone on here said something like the dad and coach got into it or something like that. You have a lot of kids that decide in 6th or 7th that they want to go to Barbe and they out of zone for middle school. and i dont even care about sam houston. Happy those kids arent wasting away not being developed and they get to play with the freinds they grew up playing with. Aint like sam houston is saying...hey come here and we have a 500k house waiting on you. All they are offering is a chance to compete. same with west monroe, barbe etc. Even the catholic schools....even if they give a scholarship, they are just evening the playing field. if people dont want kids to leave their schools, provide a better product. get the community to invest in facilities, get better coaches, pay for the education for the coach, pay for a complete weightroom and things like driveline programming. pay for hit trax and trackman to be installed. pay for indoor facilities etc i dunno, im just of the opinion of....how about we dont let the state and random strangers deciding what is best for each family.

I drink anywhere from 60-90 beers a week. I get a full blood test every year, and my liver enzymes are perfect. In fact, every year I keep thinking one of the metrics is going to be worse than the prior year. Never happens, and I have had this blood test every year since 2013. In fact, if I compare to 2013 levels, they are all still good.

I know others like that. It's a strange thing... some people's bodies can handle it and others can't... like at all.

How sick did you get in the days after?

Twice...

First time was sick (withdrawals) for 3-4 days. Cold sweats hot then cold at night and couldn't sleep, throwing up bile in the mornings...

Second time I was only sick for a day with minor throwing up and only one night of cold sweats. Then hallucinations started and lasted for 3-4 days... couldn't sleep bc I kept hearing people talking in the room or in the other room... in the dark, I would see this fog type stuff in small forms and when I would grab it, it would turn into spider like things on my arm (nice ones). It was fricked. Because of that alone, I will NEVER drink again. Ever

Once the hard part is over, get you a support system. I was never a huge fan of AA, but there are other resources. I go to support group that meets weekly at a local church and I also go to basic alcoholic classes once a week...most of the time just to keep it fresh
Honestly the first time hearing about this. That said, it's ghey

Yes, I have definitely become more emotional as i age, but I am not sure if the cause is aging or the buildup of emotional trauma i have experienced in the last few years. Faking your way through the breakdowns to be the center of strength for your family takes a toll that I didn't realize before

Stay strong, brother
