I prefer a hybrid like against UF we ran a lot of 3-4 this year with Rasco the hybrid End/Linebacker

I just hope we don't move to a 3-4
Wonder if he is meeting with a candidate at the course.

Rumor had it that LSU was going to hire a Defensive Coordinator who was playing in the playoffs. That pointed to Ron Zook (ST CO) and Dick LeBeau after he resigned. But the Carolina DC has a great record and the sources have been talking about him? Odd the LSU plane and the Panther DC came back to Charlotte around the same time.

That is the best thing about getting a new DC is Chavis has never been known for pass rush from his ends. Not at Tennessee not ever.
re: LSU defense, would LSU be better running a different defense?

With chavis's defense (Unusual for a 4-3) his ends play super conservative and has to blitz to get pressure. The ends aren't getting sacks and that is a shame to me

Sione Teuhema

LINK
Sione will be our starting SDE next year watch from 1:56:30
On first down #58 got close to the sack and forced the in-completion
2nd down he destroyed a defender on the first step and got the sack
3rd down he took the Tackle out of the game and opened a hole for Dwayne Thomas to get the sack
At 2:06:00 Teuhema once again comes back into the game and forces the in-completion.
At 2:07:30 Teuhema moves to weak-side and crushes the Left tackle and uses his speed to close into the sack.
He is the next great LSU pass rusher. Him and bower together could be great...

I believe LaCatoure and Valentine will be "Co-starters" and Valentine eventually moving into the starting spot by the end of the season. Valentine is a great defensive tackle. I know bower and teuhema are great pass rushers. I believe we are good at Weak-side but strong-side worries me. Issiah Washington got his 4th star and i believe he is better then Gerald Willis.
Not to mention his measurable a are great 6'2.5 runs a 4.49
Jalen Collins from the wisconsin to the Texas A&M game looked great. He just had a sophomore slump
According to multiple draft sights we will have 4 draft picks in the 1st-3rd round
1st round lock- La'el collins
Late 1st- early 2nd- Jalen Collins
2nd/3rd- Kwon Alexander and Danielle Hunter
