I have the Predator and paid the extra $100 for two year no questions asked warranty. They actually told me bring it back and swap it for a brand new one in 23 months, normal wear & tear is covered under warranty

Anyway, I've been intentionally abusing the piss out of the Predator and have to admit its phenomenal. Super quite, starts first pull and runs 8+ hours on a tank of gas

Can confirm it will run (independently):

-Skill saw
-deep freezer
-blower
-10k BTU window unit
-Electric Charcoal lighter
-2 full size fridges simultaneously
-electric chainsaw
-5G air compressor

Pretty much tried it on everything. Most importantly it runs 10k BTU ac and deep freezer at same time which are my primary concerns in hurricane

If you haven't used an inverter generator like these before, they shite all over ordinary generators in terms of fuel efficiency and not being obnoxiously loud. Can't hear it running over a box fan

ETA: have owned for 6 months, approx 30 hours of run time.

DIY ground meat w/ Venison

Anyone have some tips or suggestions?

A hunting buddy does his with a 3/4 hp meat grinder from Cabelas and mixes it 50/50 with either pork shoulder or brisket and then freezes it in 2 lb. packages....looks easy enough.

Here's to hoping the OB can help me end up with some top notch burger/taco/spaghetti etc meat!

I've got a deer cocaine site that is 4-5 years old and has to be 6ft wide and a ft deep. Put out a few bags in the spring time and then again in the early fall

Works the best on rotted stumps or when you use the same location a few times

I've also tried the rice bran and jello with mixed results, grape worked the best
Have had great results with Evolved 7 card stud. Most of my plots are 1/4-1/2 acre
I have two 3/8" plate steel grills that a friend welded up for me years ago (4'x 20" x 20" each) and I would like to convert one to a gas grill

I need a heavy duty burner or two which I plan to hook up to a crawfish boiler regulator. Being such a large grill the replacement burner sets at Home Depot aren't nearly enough BTU's to be of any use. It's a fairly straight forward DIY with some SS pipe but if there are commercially available options I'll save myself the time

Any suggestions?

Best internet only option

I"m looking for the best wifi only services in Baton Rouge. Travel a ton for work and really don't watch much TV

What does a wifi/basic cable package run? Is there a better alternative?
The last time I moved everything myself I swore it'd the last

Has anyone used a moving company in BR for a local move? If so please recommend a company. How much can I expect to pay to move from one house to another 3BR house approximately 10 miles apart?

Any advice, tips or suggestions?

thank you
Looking to buy 2-3k rounds. I've used American Eagle in the past w/ no issues. I can't remember where I ordered it from however as its been several years

thanks in advance,

Jesus man $90k income and only $10k saved?

I just got a 20k raise 6 months ago after getting my MBA and finished paying off $63k in student loans last month. I've got 70k in 401k/IRA's and 30k in taxable E*Trade acct (50/50 vtsmx / vwinx).

Emergency fund of 15k (5k vwinx & 10k cash) established, 10k cash saved for house downpayment. With the cost of cash @ only 3.5-4% my strategy has been max out tax deductible investment vehicles with the assumption that a $ invested today is theoretically worth more than $ invested 5 yrs from now.

You want your total home expenses under $1200/ month with only $10k to put down? 15 year mortgage is definitely out then and even with a 30 year you are looking at a sub $150k place.

Correct. I travel a minimum of 3 days a week. My plan was buy an inexpensive (140-160k) 3/br 2/ba condo within 10 miles of campus. I basically need a place to call home 4 days a week & store all my shite while I'm out of town. In a few year's I'll buy a house and ideally rent the condo out. The other option is rent an apt/condo for 11-1200/mo or a house for 13-1400 mo.

Its doubtful that he made 85k out of school and stayed there. He most likely had student loans and started at 40-50k and just now is hitting 80k+. 10k in savings is not much, but it also could be that he has 10k for a downpayment and has 10-20k more in cash

spot on sir . Made 48 out of school 6 yrs ago.

Again - not claiming to be a finance wizard, that's why I'm here. Currently saving 1200/mo in cash and $1500/mo in ret./inv. accounts. I can adjust those or sell some equities if avoiding the whopping $75 PMI is critical. Thus far I'm pleased with my financial decisions

ETA - Not OT baller

I'd like to buy a condo, here is the situation

-Currently renting
-Not married, 30 y/o , 80-90k salary
-I have 10k to put down
-No debt outside of vehicle loan
-maxing roth & contributing enough to get full 401k match
-not qualified for VA (veteran) loan
-like to keep total home expenses below $1200/mo +utilities (mortgage, home ins, PMI, taxes etc)

Questions:

best place to apply for a mortgage?
with interest rates so low, is it wise to go w/ fixed 30 yr over fixed 20 yr?
Any first time owner advice?

FYI - I'd like a condo b/c:
1) I travel a lot for work
2) would become a rental property once married & buy a house (timeline 3-5 yrs)

thanks in advance
Usually you won't have to dot them as they stick together in a giant clump more often than not. As posted earlier, 5 gallon bucket full of vermiculite in the garage out of direct sunlight will be fine.

Moisten the soil about every other week. The egg shells will start to shrivel up if they don't have sufficient moisture and will swell excessively if they have too much moisture. I've done this dozens of times, its literally almost idiot proof

I remember the feeling like it was yesterday. Broke in college --> 32k salary and then a few years later getting a 50k salary. The advice thus far has been great. Max Roth, 401k to match, set aside for emergencies and short/long term goals. Don't forget to live a little!

Congrats!

BTW - you will quickly adjust to your new income, don't let your "lifestyle inflation" exceed your income inflation. If you can bank half of every raise you get from here on out you will be in good shape. Keep your fixed expenses low and don't live beyond your means

Need ideas for a Fun 2nd date

Any suggestions in the New Orleans or BR area?

We're both mid 20's
Very similiar curriculum to the standard business degree. Honestly, work experience will mean more than what your degree is in. Take a job that will give you the greatest responsibility and opportunity to prove yourself. Make sure you find a boss that doesn't suck. Interview several times a year and only leave to better your position - you don't want to job hop too frequently. Network everywhere you go.
I'm in SDRL for $18. Thats after dollar cost averaging down from $39.

:banghead:
Is that an eastern indigo? I'd love to have one but the $2000 price tag and higher maintenance in terms of enclosure cleanings have kept me away

re: Foxes while deer hunting

Killed two in the same year while bowhunting (seperate hunts). Couldn't do it in a million years if I went out intentionally fox hunting with a bow.

Both had their nose to the ground and were following the exact path a rabbit had taken maybe 45 minutes before.
