Lol he don’t got no 40 million dollars

I wonder how much those guys make. 15 years is a lot of time to invest that money somewhere smart, but if he's not hitting in the >2M range then 40M is probably too high a guess.
And I have no idea where to start in guessing what punters make... especially "veteran" punters lol.
you know that's something only fans really care about right? athletes pay lip service to legacy all the time, but money talks and BS walks, as they say
He's coaching the bowl game so you're in good shape!

You don't need to put a space between a word and following punctuation.
quote:

the youth of today have it easy though.. work hard and you'll succeed. their grandparents didn't have it so easy.

I don't think I buy this, at least compared to the previous generations.

Greatest Gen, by and large, didn't even need to go to college to get a job good enough to allow them to marry, buy a house, and start a family.
Boomers might not necessarily have needed to do that either, but if they did go to college (which started exploding in accessibility around this time), they were more or less set for the same marry-house-kids plan.
Millennials all have a college degree. That eliminates the advantage of having one. Obviously you have MUH GENDER STUDIES idiots who deserve the Starbucks "career" they got, but it's not just degrees not worth the paper they're written on who are getting in trouble. Especially if you're a white male, it can be pretty damn difficult to beat affirmation action hiring in STEM fields, which already face stiff competition due to the fact that a STEM degree is considered the only type of 4-yr degree that actually matters. (It is fairly amusing to point this out in response to a post acknowledging the existence of "white privilege," as though being white is at all a privilege in the extremely tough process of converting degree to career job.)

Greatest Gens and some Boomers (admittedly not all) also have pensions. Millennials are never going to get pensions. Social Security destroyed that.
Except that's not even the whole story either, because all Greatest Gens and all Boomers will both get to claim SS. SS will be bankrupt by the time Millennials get to claiming age, take that to the bank.

I'm not going to act like Millennials are somehow uniquely suffering or that their lot is unbearable or anything melodramatic, like most Millennials love to do. Lord knows the Greatest Gen had their hands full... the name ain't for nothin. But "work hard and you'll succeed" is less true today than it's ever been in America.
Just look around. Affirmative action and welfare are frickin everywhere, what about any of those things tells a normal white boy "work hard and you'll succeed"? More like "be damn sure you outwork everyone because you start off with a disadvantage in hiring due to your skin color and genitals, then enjoy getting cucked by Uncle Sam siphoning a quarter or more of your paycheck off to give to other people who aren't working or doing anything productive."
We have a culture that venerates laziness and victimhood like none before in this country's history, and which shows more disdain for the exact "work hard and you'll succeed" mantra you and I agree should be the way things are.

Jerusalem has been Israel's "claimed" capital for a while. Their governmental buildings are there.

But because of a lot of autistic screeching from Muslims in Palestine it hasn't been officially recognized by the UN.

Which ultimately doesn't really matter since Israel's government buildings are all there anyway...

Tel Aviv wasn't the capital but was a major tech hub and "global city." You can think of Tel Aviv as the New Orleans of Israel, compared to Jerusalem as its Baton Rouge.

The "problem" if you will is that there are stateless Muslims living in Jerusalem who want to pretend that Jerusalem is part of their made-up country, and as we all know, major multinational orgs like the UN love to pander to Muslims.
Is that why they fired him in December?  :snoozer: :snoozer:

Sorry. You're either for us or against us.

We can cut your funding too.

Nah an abstention can be fine.
Ultimately, the US moving its embassy to Jerusalem is a matter between the US and Israel. No one else SHOULD have a say. What is the way to represent this in the vote? Abstaining.
If other countries voted appropriately this would pass 2-0 with a boatload of abstentions.
Look into the reasoning before we sweep all abstentions under one banner.

This thread was about Neo-Nazis and white supremacists. What's wrong with white nationalism?
Or am I misunderstanding you and you're using them interchangeably?

Why are they even giving this guy the time of day? If they would stop covering people like this nonstop nobody would even know they exist

Because they are scared shitless that white people are waking up to the slow-grinding erasure of their culture and history.

Segment was a total joke involving a nobody going through a really bad teenage rebellion phase, any rational observer would immediately recognize the Neo-Nazis are the fringe's fringe and not respected by anyone who takes themselves seriously. Even other people in the "alt-right" hate these guys because they're total clowns.

But they run this segment and then make sure to have the sock puppet talk about how Neo-Nazis are worried about the preservation of white culture and history, which is a concern a reasonable person could have without ever wanting anything to do with Neo-Nazis, so that good old Johnny who still watches the news and trusts what they're telling him starts to associate a respect for his history with fringe terrorist goons, and is that little bit less likely to resist the erosion of his history in small increments over time.

They want you to know these fringe lunatics exist and want you to be deathly afraid of them, so that you wouldn't dare do anything that could be associated with them, like want to preserve your heritage against constant subversion and subliminal attack.

I would guess there are enough people down here for whom that doesn't apply to cause a problem, but it's about as self-inflicted as it gets.
quote:

In what ways do you think white culture is being erase? And curious to your thoughts on what our nation looks like by following the direction you speak of.

Both serious questions

- Tearing down Confederate monuments without any consideration for historical context is probably the most overt example in recent news. I get that the Confederacy isn't exactly a shining moment in our national history, but the monuments aren't about and were never about glorifying slavery or the systemic abuse of blacks. The sites and monuments themselves always explain that they were erected in memory of the valor and sacrifice of the soldiers defending their homeland and way of life. Protestors briefly tried to push their momentum after Charlottesville and agitated for the removal of monuments to people like Thomas Jefferson, which in my opinion showed their true colors.
And, again, it's always white history that's targeted by these things. Nobody is trying to get rid of Black History Month or replace statues of Martin Luther King.

- On that note, but a separate issue, outside of unquestionable moments of national solidarity like Pearl Harbor or 9/11, agitators in the media and among leftist politicians love to act as though there are no positives to white history and that we're nothing but racist genocidal monsters. Columbus is only remembered for his hostilities with Native Americans and not for the daring voyage across the Atlantic that led to the foundation of our country. The Confederates get reduced only to being defenders of slavery. Even now, despite the fact that white taxpayers paying for welfare are the only reason most urban black communities don't immediately collapse, the media wants you to believe that whites are still somehow oppressing blacks en masse.

- The constant pushing in the media of the idea that white people in America have "no culture" (although rarely stated explicitly in those terms) is straightforward erasure.

- And while it hasn't hit the US just yet, I did say "Western" rather than "American" specifically for a reason: the mass migration of Muslims from Africa and Southwest Asia into Europe, at a rate far faster than they could ever assimilate, is destabilizing those states and creating a growing underclass of non-Western, non-white people who have demonstrated decreasing respect and tolerance for the culture of their host countries. America might have had to face a similar issue with Hispanic migration from Mexico, were it not for us electing Trump and actually enforcing immigration laws again.

Don't get me wrong on any of this, America is a multi-ethnic society and always will be. There's always a place for anybody of any race to come here, assimilate into our shared values, and be fully American. But that means there's a place for whites as well, which means the massive media push to demonize whites at every turn is incompatible with this vision of America being for everyone.

If we went the direction I'm talking about, you would see immigration laws being respected and people of all races getting along and living and working together in far greater harmony than they are now, because they would all be working under one united vision -- the American Dream, being able to live your life how you damn well please and enjoy your freedoms and the pursuit of happiness without being constantly harassed and condemned for the actions that people who look like you committed hundreds of years ago.
