Why is this guy getting downvotes. They give everyone slippers in business class.

I'm in international first class a lot. Slippers and socks in the amenity kits. The amount of people that choose to wear the socks without the (ill fitting and cheap)slippers is overwhelming. It's disgusting. They walk into the lavs with those socks which act as sponges to soak up every type of imaginable fluid one can think of and then wear them in their lie flats. Truly noxious.

Is there anywhere in the NOLA area that sells these or is this a type of cut that is special order/butcher only? Obviously plenty of ham out there but I want fresh.

Yeah that logic definitely works with babies and toddlers.

So now it's toddlers and babies. I must have missed the babies part but regardless, I'd much rather hear a baby crying (they eventually stop) or a toddler throwing a tantrum (as Joshjrn pointed out they eventually run out of steam) than the beep booping of some video game for hours on end.
quote:

Wait, the responsibility on the kid. You mean the babies/toddlers?
Just repeating what the hill you've decided to die on. That's exactly what you're projecting by claiming a child can't be expected to keep their shite together for flights. Well, no shite! That's why it's the parent's responsibility to mentor them on how to do just that!

quote:

who cast hatred and judgement on parents that are trying their best

Obviously the method you are advocating isn't working but your superiority complex doesn't allow you to comprehend that YOU could be the problem here.
quote:

would rather place the burden on babies/toddlers.

And now you're just being disingenuous. No where in this thread has that opinion been inferred.

quote:

That’s great because I’d rather not be around someone who’s incapable of putting on noise canceling headphones

This sentence alone tells me you completely miss the gist of the discussion.
quote:

But when you have a three year old that’s been sitting in the same spot on a plane for two hours waiting to take off and is 4 hours into a 5 hour flight, it won’t work.

My kids have been traveling internationally since they were newborns, and no short European flights either. Asia.14-16 hrs. 1-2 x each year. They wear these things called headphones and except for the fact that they may lean on you to fall asleep you would never know they are there.
If they don’t wear headphones then they don’t get to use video devices. Pretty simple for most of us. But you’d rather punish those around you than teach your kid how to be considerate and then put the responsibility on the kid. People like you are insufferable.

And why is your alternative always “beating” your kid?

It must be an Atlanta thing. The airport raised their parking rates last year.

| Hourly Parking | $3 per hour | $10 per hour |
| Daily Parking | $19 per day | $30 per day

South/North Hourly Decks
(Old rate)$3 per hour, $36 max
(New rate)$10 per hour, $50 max Day 1, $75 daily thereafter

International Hourly Deck
(Old rate)$3 per hour, $36 max
(New rate)$10 for the first hour, $15 per hour thereafter, $70 max Day 1, $100 daily thereafter

That's awesome, where did he find it?

Not sure but it was well before internet shopping. He worked on campus at one point so I’m guessing he found it that through his connections.

Falstaff was ahead of its time.

Were they the ones that also used the backpack beer dispensers in Tulane stadium or was that Dixie? When we got older my friend bought a refurbished one so we finally got to have a beer we saw so many enjoying growing up.

I drank a lot of cheap beer in college but couldn’t do the Dog. Too sweet/malt liquor-ish. I remember the logo having a subliminal message when turned upside down.

A beer from the past

Posted by HeyCap on 3/2/26 at 5:34 pm

Cleaning out the attic a found this from my college days; a beer ball tap. We used to get one of these for small gatherings since I don’t think they held but a dozen or so beers, but it was nice to be able to tap a “keg” in the dorm room. If memory serves me correctly only Coors made them, or maybe they were the first. They marketed them as party balls. Good times.

I enjoy SMJ's posts on social media and would gladly spend the £200 for the bird of prey experience if I was in the area.
Why is the I-610 overpass at St. Bernard banked the wrong way? Heading westbound the road takes a left turn and it isn't nearly banked enough or flat. It should be noticeably higher in the right lane and accordingly lower in the left. Poor engineering.
I still have one in use and it keeps time well but the radio reception (yeah, I’m old) is shot so I just bought a replacement. Perhaps I should hand it down or sell it on eBay.

So how often during a year do krewes meet? You pay a couple of Grand a year, is that because they do things other than Mardi Gras?

Thoth gives you a lot of bang for your buck.
$750 membership gets you:
A meeting with free food and beer every month.
A free coronation ticket for members at the Riverside Hilton with a sit down meal, open bar, bands
Many Krewe events throughout the year such as a golf tournament, Day at the races, etc.(for a fee)
No mandated Krewe throws but the ability to purchase packages and have them loaded
Not crammed on the float like a sardine
Access to your float for 4 days prior to parade for loading
One of the best and longest routes

I can tell you my wife paid 3X more to ride in Cleopatra with half the bennies and no room to stand

If you can get in it’s a great ride!

Came here to say this. I laughed a lot more than I should have at the dialogue. Almost a caricature of himself but not really when you look at his resume.
Glad to read this thread as I've had a problems with Supreme and thought it was only me.
As for the other local brands, where are you buying them? We shop at Zuppardo's or Rouses mostly (NOLA) and was wondering who made Rouses brand rice.

quote:

They go with the lowest bidder who is related to someone in power.

And post-award proceed to submit multiple change orders that push bid costs well above highest (and probably most qualified) bidder's bid.
I was about to say Anchor Steam but upon investigation they stopped brewing in 2023 and were bought out in 2024.

Download the Mass Times for Travel app. Does a quick search of nearby churches and times. Has several sorting features. Hasn’t let me down (except in Auckland for some reason)
