Spring Game Question
Posted by I_Geaux_4_LSU on 2/20/17 at 7:19 am
As a 40yo that grew up in Auburn, I've only been to hand full of home games, but never and Spring game... Thinking about finally coming down to one, but my question is.. is it worth it? What other things will be going on other than the "game" ?

Whatever you do ... DO NOT STAY at the Golden Cherry Motel. Born and raised in Opelika and you've just got to trust me!!!

I've got an empty house in Phenix City right off 280.. about 30 min from AU. It has power and water... no cable or internet...but it could be available for the desperate folks!! :geauxtigers:

After a day/night of watching football, a buddy (an AU fan ) and myself took off to Huddle House for a 2am waffle. I sit in my LSU hat and shirt...buddy has his Auburn hat on. Older gentleman and his wife walk in wearing the dreading crimson colors and yells, " ROLL TIDE " !!! So.... I politely ask him to spell Tuscaloosa. Old bastard didn't speak another word and we enjoyed out waffles in peace!!

SEVERAL dropped balls doesn't help the cause!! I want him to be able to turn that corner and be the QB we need him to be... hopefully some true competition this spring and summer will be beneficial!!
re: Cam Cameron down on the field. I don't like it.

Maybe I'm just used to feeling "eh" after an LSU game, but its really hard to argue 56 points and 638 yards. Did we see a slight shift in the way things could be next year? Or is Tech's D really just terrible?? All in all.. not a bad way to end this roller coaster season!!!
Only 247 more days until football season!!!

I live in PC, AL. Watched him play for a few years now. He's good but not anywhere near what he's *'s suggest. He's going to AU. No lose to us!!

I get the past has some merit, but prior to LSU...
Nick Saban at Mich St.
1995 6–5–1
1996 6–6
1997 7–5
1998 6–6
1999 9–2
Les Miles at OSU
2001 4–7
2002 8–5
2003 9–4
2004 7–5
Neither records were really impressive, but they were the right 'fit' for the job and both did and are doing pretty good at LSU. And I haven't looked at their records after leaving the respective schools, but I think both schools have better records since they left. It's all about the right person and the right fit and the right situation.
Quit bringing up 70 points and this and that, and wait and see what he does HERE!!!

I grew up IN Auburn.. literally.. IN Auburn. So it was very easy to hate them. As a kid, I remember having adults yell and throw things at. The past few years, I've let my hatred towards AU go so I could focus more on just hating Bama. I will say this... At this years Auburn game, I didn't have one bad experience. Multiple people thanked me for coming and hoped I was having a good time. Even did a few shots with some... so yeah... I just hate Bama now!!
