Speaking of the Ole Miss title drought, what is A&M's at? I know they haven't even won a conference title since the 90's. Also, when has A&M had a run even close to what LSU did from 2001 to present?
Well, we did get Saban's players and have won two national titles as a result. The type of success that A&M has never accomplished and likely never will. I am very thankful for that and hope it happens again in my lifetime
He's only 54. Why would he step down?

Just hope you remember now that Chavis's is gone, you're fricked

It will be interesting to see how this goes. I am a firm believer that Chavis is the only reason this team wins as much as it does (excluding last year because the defense was pretty bad)

If Saban never arrived, you would be a less prestigious version of Ole Miss. At times, college football is cyclical, and at times it isn't. LSU in the 2000s is an example of an anomaly, not an up-cycle. The sooner you accept that falling arse backwards in to Saban is the only thing that ever, or will ever, bring you success. The happier you'll be.

The blueprint is there. We have a ton of in-state talent and no other big time program in-state to recruit against. We will be successful again. This isn't Tennessee or Michigan where you have to recruit big time out of state guys to compete at a high level. You also forget Saban wasn't nearly as successful here as he has been at Bama.
Nah, Saban broke us on 1/9. He has also taken some program changing recruits away from Louisiana to Alabama and will continue to do so
quote:

I love all the tDecline talk of the offseason for Alabam

Anybody who believed that is a fricking idiot. Saban is the best college coach of all time. That program isn't going anywhere until he hangs it up in 5 years or so
I am in Fayetteville for the first time right now for work. Beautiful place
From 2001 to now has been a lot of fun. Most people can only dream about being able to witness such success and experiencing two national titles while in college. CFB success is cyclical, and I just hope the down cycle doesn't last longer than it should. 1/9 was the beginning of the end. It isn't just that we lost that day, but it was the way that we lost. Les refusing to try anything different and never moving the ball past the 50. As much as I have liked and supported the man, he is very stubborn. We are about to lose our best coach to a divisional rival because they are willing to pony up more money and a better contract, we have no QB for the future, and we are going to once again lose juniors to the NFL who shouldn't declare, and some recruits will follow Chavis to A&M. 2015 is going to be a rough year on the bayou, as will be the remaining years of the Les Miles era :banghead:

Here is to hoping we make some good hires in the coming years

Oklahoma may never cross midfield

Why is the recruiting class of another school "funny?"

It's more the resulting melt by fans than the class itself
Their defense will embarrass them like it always does. It will be funny to see how much further their recruiting class falls

13. Ole Miss

The Rebels are coming off their first season of double-digit victories since 1999

I must have missed that 10th win

Because he has almost 100 more carries than the guy behind him? Yep, that typically leads to better stats.

Romo > Rodgers this year

MVP should be Watt but will be Romo IMO

looks great on both sides of the ball.

When is the last time LSU looked great offensively? That isn't changing tomorrow with AJ running the show. A&M is ranked 102nd in the nation in total defense at 449 yards given up per game, so don't let that performance fool you about this offense
It was about 135 a couple years ago for a junior membership (under 30 or 35). Pretty good price but didn't include the cart and cart fees were pretty steep
