Gameday traffic flow question

Posted by BigOrangeWave on 10/24/25 at 8:24 pm
I will be parking at UHigh and tailgating early, but unfortunately will need to leave campus prior to the game started. Ideally I’d leave close to 4 or 5 but am worried about getting out. The easiest exit route is northbound on dalrymple heading towards Perkins, but I know that will get contraflowed in at some point. Does anyone know approximately what time that will happen? How long can I stay on campus and still be able to get out prior to kickoff?

Are you sure you know how to replace attic stairs? If you're replacing your attic stairs 3-4 times you may have an issue there.
This all gets published yearly by the state.

2024 report

I hear what you're saying, but from what I've heard here and throughout other media, is that only Football and maybe Men's basketball make a profit. For LSU, I'm not even sure if Men's BB does turn a profit, but most other schools it does.

It does. Most of revenue comes from TV deals which are fairly lucrative for men's basketball and shared amongst the conference. Could they invest more in the product and get money from ticket sales as well? Maybe so but they can do nothing and stay profitable which seems to be the plan.

The big picture is to keep raking in money with football and then invest as little as possible in other sports. WBB and baseball will continue to get funds because they are a relatively good investment (don't lose as much as they would without investing in the product).

I do think it's possible, even likely that the basketball stadium project funding gets redirected. Auburn built their new gym at the perfect time to attract crowds and $$$ before the NIL era. Much harder to justify spending the money now. So I suspect that men's BB will remain on the back burner.

I have a lawn that is mostly centipede (some St. Aug) and has some relatively large dead spots from last summer (maybe 20% or so of the total area). I had lots of weed but sprayed some weed killer and have tamped that down a good bit. I am planning to seed these areas with centipede. I will probably use a steel rake and clear the area first, then plan to put seed down hopefully this week.

A couple of questions. Should I use just pure centipede seed or one of the combo mulch/seed products from Home Depot? Also should I pre germinate the seed or just lay it down? Obviously, will water aggressively. Is it too late to be trying this at all?
I bet admin wont immediately suspend Mulkey to make her look guilty

Great news for LSU today

Wade show cause means nobody else will hire him for the next 2 years. Just enough time for the boosters to scramble enough money together to show McMahon the door. The General will be back in P&G for the 25-26 season.

No, of course not. But that doesn’t matter, they can just milk women’s basketball for all it’s worth and that’ll be good enough to keep the PMAC standing for a few more years. LSU would rather focus on other things and it shows.

The general cared too much about winning basketball games and not enough about politicking with the LSU brass. That may work some other places, would probably work here in football or baseball, but unfortunately basketball isn’t on that list.
When he hired Matt McMahon. A decent coach who will take no risks recruiting and not grab any headlines or make a scene. Much rather invest in football and women’s basketball and just hope we find someone who can keep their mouth shut and not get in trouble.

It’s blatantly obvious that across the gym, there’s a young, energetic coach who is this program on the rise, and is willing to recruit the best players and let them play key roles. We had that guy too. Unfortunately, Scotty didn’t hire him himself, and got annoyed that he made comments about the leaky gym and figured it wasn’t worth the headache. Why should I care about LSU basketball if LSU doesn’t care about LSU basketball? Embarrassing.

But hey, “we promote women’s players the same as men’s” is a helluva recruiting tactic for Mulkey to use. So I hope Woodward is happy, he got the Trent Johnson that he was hoping for.

We would be a complete anomaly if we were the only school in recent history to have 3 year sanctions against us. Schools who’ve done the same or worse have only had 1 year post season bans and paid fines.

I agree. And now it only takes 1-2 years to put together a roster in CBB. But you gotta have the coach.

Retaining Nickelberry

Hypothetically, how far would we have to go in the tournament before you’d want to keep Nickelberry? I say win a final four game.

He has a terrible coaching record but at some point you’d have to consider it. Seems fair to me.
I'm in the same spot, I'm going Dillon. Can't start Mattison on Thursday and lose already.

Kirk Cousins or Matt Stafford?

Who is the better QB right now?

It seems to me that its Cousins hands down but surprisingly most seem to have it the other way. I don't get it. He doesn't show up for prime time, but Cousins is very underrated.

Surprised John Gordon didn't get the "G" logo twice the size of every other name. I guess some things still are sacred.

Yep, if they wanted you at their wedding, the wouldn't have scheduled it during the SECCG. If they don't understand why you're missing, you don't need that friend anyway.

In before the "there's more to life than LSU football crowd" that is for some reason lurking LSU football message boards.
