A large number of them were big time coke heads(well into their 40s) and MANY of those have suffered debilitating health related issues once they hit late 50s - despite most living fairly healthy lives: non smokers, light drinkers and most exercising.
So, if what I understand you are saying is that many of the people you grew up with were coke heads into their 40's and many have had major health problems beginning in their late 50's? This I get, but then you said most lived fairly health lives, barely drinking or smoking, and exercised. I don't know about you, but I believe being a coke head for around half your life is not living a fairly healthy lifestyle.

The real humor in this is East Baton Rouge Schools thinking they can actually fix something
You really have to wonder about the other 12 districts they were compared to.

We are headed to a home school model for all of the normal people. In person public in Baton Rouge has been destroyed.
Real charter schools are taking over public schools at an ever increasing rate.
The people who don't give a shite about their kids or their education will be the only ones left at true public schools.
One of the biggest issues facing many public schools is the fact that due to their insatiable need for $$$$ they no longer kick out bad apples but keep them and we all know any classroom can only go as far as the lowest common denominator can.
In the years to come there will be another Judge Parker type suit that will attemp to force charters to take the bad apples.
with that being said many there are charters designed to educate and charters designed to simply over take failing schools - they are not the same.

He has no choice but to enforce it
It’s easy to enforce it then….down 4 runs, 2 outs, nobody on.
But I doubt the call is made in a close game

He has no choice but to enforce it. Ain't no room reading about it, not it you want to keep officiating, especially in the post season.
Players know the rules it ain't.
Those of you that wan't "electronic officials or AI - whatever" they ain't gonna read the room - they gonna call it.......
and ya'll still gonna say they suck or are cheating for the other team.

Good. Growing up in the 80s/90s everything smelled like smoke everywhere. Banning smoking from indoor places is one of the best strides we've made as a society.

They take it in ways you would have no control over. I fully expect this to be a dem presidential nominee to have this part of their platform in 28.
