My son is currently in kindergarten at Shenandoah Elementary. The EBRP system wanted to bus him all the way to Broadmoor Elementary to balance things out. You really think I'm going to send my 5-year old son to that clusterfrick of a transfer bus station?? EBR can't even keep a superintendent for longer than a year or two. It's a total mess.
My question is, why is all of this bussing necessary? Why can't the kids just go to whatever school is in their neighborhood? If the EBR public schools are such good schools, then they should be the same quality across the board, and it shouldn't matter which school they attend.

Fair enough. I wouldn't say you're necessarily forcing your opinion; I just think your objective is to persuade others to side with you. Honestly I'm just against the whole bussing thing. I don't understand the need for it. If EBR would cut out the transfer buses and send all kids to their own neighborhood schools, I'd be all for it.

My old dog used to eat Reese's all the time and never had a problem. Vet said chocolate is only harmful to dogs if they ingest an overly large amount. Same with chicken bones. My dog eats chicken bones all the time. How many dogs have you ever personally known to have died from eating chicken bones?
