Liz's Where ya at Diner in Mandeville is one of the best little hidden gem restaurants ever. You will leave with a full belly and a smile on your face. Liz is absolutely phenomenal.
Abita Roasting downtown Covington is really good also. All you can eat catfish on Thursday nights too.
The trailhead is where it is at on Saturday mornings also!
