I think the much greater risk is to the SEC and NCAA for making an arbitrary and prejudicial decision affecting a group of athletics who should have had a right to make a living. I lived a lawsuit by a very powerful Fortune 500 company 35 years ago. We won and these players will win. LSU is on the right side of this issue and the SEC and NCAA have to be VERY careful how they pursue this case. My prediction is they will drop any further action against these young people.


This is a much bigger issue than should LSU play these guys. This is about a group of fairly powerless athletes up against a powerful monopoly that is trying to force their unconstitutional might against individuals and it's a serious violation of their civil rights. The NCAA will relent and the SEC will have no choice but to comply.

Presidents and administrations have kicked this can down the road for 47+ years. Trump has been the only one with the courage and foresight to do something about it. I think this is all hype to draw attention to the WNBA as a last gasp because the product sucks. Nobody was talking about the WNBA until Kaitlyn Clark came around. This is just hype.

I don’t get the negativity about this project. It’s like,” I don’t understand it so I’m against it.” These plants aren’t paper mills or chemical plants that produce a lot of pollution. I’m not sure what they discharge other than evaporation. Maybe somebody can enlighten me.

They will consume a lot of water. Wells a re being drilled to provide the water. I have not heard how much water the plant will consume but if it’s as suggested a really big plant maybe 5 million gallons a day. Well by comparison a paper mill that would employ 1000 people would consume 20-30 million gallons a day. Paper mills and chemical plants have significant air and waste water discharges that I don’t see with a data generating facility. It’s really hard to accept all the negativity surrounding these plants.

Louisiana needs New Orleans and New Orleans needs Louisiana. Stop the squabbling. New Orleans listen to Jim Croce.
