Just read the thread.

This is the exact same drill when people apply for government assistance of any kind. Why do you think voting registration would be any different.
The Democrats (mostly) have this down to a fine science. The "recipients" know there is very little chance of being caught and have no sense of right vs wrong so they falsify any document put in front of them. Reparations are real and we pay them every day. The voting is the last piece of the puzzle for the socialists/communists to work out.
We have to push back for verification. The "employees" in most occasions are just like this guy.

I love the current arrangement. They have it right. Got to get the ABS though. College home plate umpires aren't good enough for the game.

He’s got NO shot. The girl is rented. 65-35 at best for him. Beto was a better candidate and he sucked.
re: You want to know why food prices are rising?
Posted by dovehunter on 5/29/26 at 10:10 pm to SlowFlowPro
See sulfur and sulfuric acid prices. This building block chemical is at historic highs. The Persian Gulf Conflict and China are causing this and in turn significantly increases fertilizer prices. China is the#1 producer of sulfuric acid and they have basically taken their supply off the market to protect their fertilizer and food production costs.
We are still way too dependent on China and the Middle East. This Iranian conflict must be taken seriously as there are so many repercussions to its outcome.

Honesty and common sense.
re: Are voters sending Landry a message?
Posted by dovehunter on 5/20/26 at 4:58 pm to CreoleTigerEsq
People don’t trust the amendments and wording. Not sure it was much to do with Landry. Now IF Fleming beats Letlow THAT would be a message to Landry. Odds for that are long.
re: What’s next for St George?
Posted by dovehunter on 5/17/26 at 8:59 am to Geauxldilocks
All St.,George ever wanted was a self determined school system. If the powers that be had allowed that 20 years ago none of this mess would have even occurred. Zachary, Baker and Central were allowed to form their own systems because it's common sense to keep the education as local as possible. They did it pre the arrival of Obama and the ultra racism that dominates all of politics now.
It totally makes no sense that a statewide amendment be necessary to form a new school district. The money follows the kids. The more kids the more money.
St. George would never have become a city if they had gotten a school system they could run themselves. I feel bad for them as our government and leaders failed them for the sake of identity politics.

re: If Letlow Ends Up w/Approximately 45% of the Vote, Does A Run-Off Make Sense?
Posted by dovehunter on 5/16/26 at 11:17 pm to Guntoter1
A lot of the Cassidy votes were D votes. They wanted him in the runoff and would have elected him as they know their guy can’t win the general. The turnout will be low as the D’s know they are beat now. Thank God C came in 3rd. It would have been a dog fight otherwise.
Fleming is my choice just due to experience. But ABC has a nice ring to it. Fleming is probably far more conservative but Letlow will do. We have had much worse options. Mostly great news for LA and America. Be thankful tonight except for St. George. Racism and a general no attitude won the day on that one.
Those poor folks in St. George deserve to have their own schools. Having to pass a statewide amendment to have you own local school is just bad government,. We need to do better and create a way for common sense to rule the day.

Yep. Worried the D’s would declare R and vote for C. They didn’t think about that soon enough i guess. They had their chance. Cassidy’s only chance and thank god it didn’t happen.

Exactly, Cassidy had to be 1st primaried. If he runs second he could make the general and that would mean a D vs a D in LA. Imagine that? The D’s always out scheme us. Hopefully Cassidy was so unpopular it won’t happen.

You could vote but you had to declare a party to vote in a party primary. I’m no party. I wanted to make sure I voted against Cassidy. I checked a form declaring as an R. I voted for Fleming. If I had stayed no party i could have only voted on the amendments. Look at the totals. The democratic and republican primaries totals are way less than the amendments totals. Many people stayed no party i assume.
It makes sense i guess. If you don’t care who makes the runoffs and will vote for a party in the general i guess you can stay no party but it sure limits your choices. I guess by being no party you could change at the last minute and declare whatever primary you choose.
Honestly I was worried a bunch of D’s would declare R at the voting time and vote for Cassidy because he would be a D if reelected.

There will be a run off. Letlow looks good but things can change. She's the favorite for sure.
