His family sat in the southwest endzone on my row for a few games the couple of years he was here. Nice people. Thoughts with them. Sad stuff.

True story…went to see The Egyptian Lover at Southport Hall a couple of years back. Scoot was there with an OT 9 by his side. I was very confused.

Reduce capacity by putting seatbacks in lower bowl. Turn East Upper into a party deck with fans and mist for those September day games.
Upgrade the experience for the non-suite, club fan. Will have to sacrifice the capacity to do it. 85 - 90k is the sweet spot. By product will be better parking/traffic.
Quit nickle and diming the fans and give more free parking options closer to the stadium on campus to bring back the organic tailgating atmosphere.
Will never happen by the way but one can dream.

He had two teenage kids that my children played baseball and softball with growing up at Delta playground in Metairie. Good, solid people.
I believe his son's birthday was yesterday as well. Horrible thing.
He had just joined the motorcycle division last year after 15 years with JPSO.
Apparently the car that hit him was an UBER driver that was trying to get around the funeral procession.
Send some prayers up for his family. They will need it.

Jefferson Parish just announced school closures for tomorrow
My son lives on campus at ULM and they lost power very early today. They contacted parents via social media saying food and heat were being provided to students.
We talked to our kid and he said the place on campus they said to go was locked up when he tried to go. They apparently shut it down at 6 pm and locked the doors.
All the Mom's on Facebook are throwing a fit.
Told him to bundle up and eat the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches we made him go buy yesterday. He'll survive. May transfer to LSU next semester though. :)

At grandparents house for Thanksgiving…I was probably eight. Eating Cornish hen at the kids table in another room from the parents. Swallowed a piece with a bone and it got lodged in throat.
Older sister just looked at me puzzled as I was choking. Luckily had enough sense to head to dining room with parents. My grandmother’s first solution was to say “give him some bread.” I think that was her answer for most things.
My Dad thankfully didn’t listen and did the heimlich. Bone popped out and my ribs were sore for a week.

The referee announced that St. Charles was given their 2nd timeout back due to the penalty. It wasn't a mystery to everyone except the Shaw staff.
Interesting point though if the helmet was removed after the timeout was granted.

Poor job by the Shaw staff though. After the penalty they continued kneeling ball in shotgun losing 7 yards a pop even though they couldn’t run out the clock.
Crazy ending.

I think Shaw thought SCC only had one timeout left. Even after the helmet toss. Only thing that explains them still kneeling on 2nd and 3rd down. A cluster all around for that staff.
Shoe toss fog game was 5 years ago tonight.

My contention is we should build a tube to the Northwest portion of the stadium and Mike can come to the games if he wants to. Totally voluntary.
Build a small enclosure up there and throw some raw meat in it. Maybe he will join us.
