I was a grunt lawyer 2 years out of law school working on a class action against a national for-profit school. it was crazy how many students defaulted on federal loans at that institution. Far higher than liberal arts and dramatic/visual arts majors at non profit institutions. Yet these were "practical degrees"
That is where the real abuse lie - not the sociology or drama majors at the LSUS and Tulanes, etc.
Default rates are also under additional scrutiny, which could close many proprietary schools.

Definitely support. But my first reaction is, if compared to that school, does a school contract and make it "communications with emphasis on gender studies" to lump in gender studies with students who go on to use a "real" communications degree?
No, unless the program is so small that it needs to be lumped with the enrollments of similar programs to meet the minimum threshold.

Need to go after the predatory lending practices as well.
Considering the recent federal changes to grad plus loan limits for "professionals", not only will that not happen, but predatory private lending is going to explode.
I guess a follow up question regarding Letlow's DEI record at ULM and his continued endorsement wasnt appropriate.

He wants Letlow but has asked the dept of ed to essentially investigate ULM on DEI while she was there?
Has anyone asked Daniel Pearl's widow what she thinks?

I prefer A League of Their Own, mainly because of what I would argue is Tom Hanks' greatest performance.

Tunnel me bro!

Why not tunnel under Mississippi instead?
Why can’t the state of Louisiana build a tunnel under the Mississippi River at Baton Rouge instead of a bridge that will destroy the historic cypress forests?
Many countries worldwide have built large underwater tunnels able to handle large amounts of traffic and not destroy the environment.
New York City built one in the city and did not disrupt traffic.
I suggest the Louisiana Department of Transportation or someone take the time to explore this method of crossing the Mississippi River at Baton Rouge.
