re: Which former LSU athletes have drawn the most dislike from LSU fans?
Posted by GorgeousGeorge on 8/16/26 at 2:31 am to TexasTiger08
Ryan Clark is at the top.
Ben Simmons just didn’t care about basketball. I can’t take it personal. He would have done exactly the same thing anywhere else too.
Reese threads contain the most hate, but not even close to all of it is aimed at her directly.
Honorable mention to Hal Hughes. I feel like that guy took a beating on here

There are 13 players with 50+ career interceptions that aren’t in the Hall of Fame. TM7 had 36. Guess we’ll see.
You’re right about Whitworth. I thought he had a couple more all-pros.

I think if you took a lot at the big picture, the percentage of out of state kids that don’t pan out is probably about equal to the percentage of LA recruits that don’t pan out.
The out of state guys who bust stick out more because there aren’t nearly as many on the roster.
Regardless of those two opinions above, it would be coaching malpractice not to at least recruit Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, and Florida.

Travonte Valentine has been literally unblockable

It’s hard to believe. Princewill is the best pass rusher we’ve had since Arden Key. Because of that, I am 100% confident our pass rush will be significantly better than last season, regardless of you all panicking about depth.

Luckily we will have the luxury of putting Brown in the interior with Big Rich. Someone’s gonna get one on one.
I think those 2 compliment one another really well.

I think Durham is ahead of Berry but that’s a great problem to have.

Peterson and Whitworth are in.
TM7 isn’t getting in.
Danielle Hunter is in with 2 more good years.

re: Rank the difficulty of LSU's 5 road games
Posted by GorgeousGeorge on 8/8/26 at 12:55 pm to clamdip
I think Auburn ends up being the most difficult. The ole miss game could be played on the moon and we’d be up for it so I don’t see that one as being difficult.

I love seeing the big time freshman defensive linemen in the 2 deep. Very good omen.
Cory Kiner just had a ten yard run for the Cardinals.

I didn’t realize he was in the league. Good for him.

Most teams are screwed if they lose their top 2 corners. I think woodland is going to have a massive year and end up a day 2 pick in the draft.
re: Preseason coaches poll released...LSU comes in at #13

LSU is never going to have an easy schedule.
I will say, 4 of those 6 are at home, and I’d much rather go to Tennessee than any of those other places. Ole Miss honestly could be played anywhere and it wouldn’t make much of a difference. So the home/away dynamic is pretty significantly in our favor.

To be fair, a bidding war with a billionaire isn’t exactly a walk in the park.
I’m with you though.

re: Who is the best athlete from your High School that played for the Tigers (any sport)
Posted by GorgeousGeorge on 8/4/26 at 5:16 pm to TIGERSby10
Chris Faulk - Northshore
Faulk was a grade below me. He could have been an NFL tackle if his injury would have been handled better. Effortless athlete. He was tall and skinny as a young kid. Great basketball player.
From a developmental standpoint, he was only scratching the surface.

I love Skenes, but he ain’t Nolan Ryan. No one is these days.

Seems to be doing okay on the gridiron though. Crazy to think the kid was playing 8th grade soccer in January and 6 months later is a starting varsity QB.

He’s a big, athletic kid for his grade level. I believe he’s a year older than most kids in his grade though. Seen him play soccer (8th grade) as well. Just unfair at that level. Honestly soccer might have been his best sport but i don’t know if he plays it anymore. Easily a major conference soccer player at the college level.
