re: Need Tailgate Guys advice

Last time I checked, Tailgate Guys still had some parking passes in Lot Z, right next to the Athletic Complex. It's not a bad walk to anywhere, but the passes are $175 each.

I've also seen alot this year of him making up his mind pre-snap on read options. He's been terrible in making decision to keep it or hand it off this year. There's no way he's reading the defense after the snap. He has his mind made up prior...
I'm not very good at breaking down a game like some of you are, but I have thought the same thing all season.

Bettors must be betting the other side or Vegas wouldn't keep making AU's lines so low,
Agree with *Aman* above. Betting lines are 25% reality (experts' best guesses on the teams' quality), and 75% perception (Vegas moves the lines to increase betting on both sides).
Vegas doesn't care about picking winners. That's why they tolerate idiots like Danny Sheridan and Mel Kiper. They just need there to be A LOT of betting on both sides, and they make their money on the vig.
They constantly adjust the lines to achieve that result.

NTY - if you are not an Alter, you are a real dummy, and that's being kind. Your straw man arguments in support of your rumor are pathetic.
All that being said, Buck Fama. (And I do think that you are an Alter.)

re: How vanilla do you expect Gus to be this weekend?
Posted by NoHuddle on 8/29/14 at 12:10 pm
The beauty of Gus' system and the reason it works is because he operates like a magician. I'm not saying he doesn't have a big playbook that he can bring to bear, but he does get a ton of mileage out of Vanilla. In fact, Vanilla is integral to the plan.
Meaning: the Magician shows the audience something the same way 5 times ("Vanilla"). They think they know what they are seeing. Then a wrinkle, and Boom, big play.

63-17
10 of their 17 will come late, and it won't ever look close.
We will CURB STOMP Arkansas.
I will say it now, and those of you *connected* pass it along to Jay Jacobs: the cheapest he will ever renegotiate with Gus is in the next 48 hours. This Saturday night and every Saturday after, the price for Gus services next year goes WAY UP.

It sucks for us, but it doesn't upset me to see Gus avoid answering questions that would ultimately affect his game plan.
There was a lot of noise about Bama stealing our signals in the 2010 Iron Bowl, and I think I remember some suspicion of that in a game last year. Teams will use every advantage they can get.
When millions of dollars are at stake, I'm fine with the Wizard being as evasive as he feels he needs to be. Buck Fama...and Bert.

Coker at best IMO will be like McCarron, a game manager, not anything flashy.
How many 4/5* QBs has Saban had? How many went on to be NFL talent? My take on this is...
even if Saban had a 5* QB, he wouldn't become that breakout talent like Cam Newton, Nick Marshall, or Jameis Winston. The Process doesn't really allow for that. Not being a hater. The Process has been wildly successful, but it doesn't create breakout QBs.
(Psssst - all breakoutQBwannabes come to Auburn.)

re: What's the over/under on Kiffin?
Posted by NoHuddle on 7/28/14 at 10:38 am
Gus would have to go 1-11 to be considered for firing. He's paid it forward by effectively taking us to two Championship games since 2010.
But my question wasn't about Saban getting fired. It was about Kiffin. We all know he's got some questions behind him.

The pictures were funny as balls. The comments so far are spot on; we all love winners. And those that can't cut it have to move on down the road. It's amazing, however, that after the shite-show Shula put on a few years back, that some can't even conceptualize that Bama might lose a few one day.
For the record, my question was an 60% honest inquiry; 40% troll......... Okay, maybe the other way around.

What's the over/under on Kiffin?
Posted by NoHuddle on 7/28/14 at 10:08 am
What would it take for Kiffin to get fired mid-season, i.e., how many games would Bama have to lose due to lackluster Offense before Saban would fire him?
My guess is four (4).

1. Clempson scores first, but South Carolina goes on to put 50 unanswered points on the board. Dabo weeps.
2. Bama loses its 4th game in Bryant-Denny on November 29. Saban almost chokes a reporter in the TaxSlayer (Gator) Bowl pre-game press conference when he asks a tangential question.
