re: Who is Tulane going to target?

Fans are also saying Mullen might be in play because UNLV might not be able to pay his contract going forward.

Baker likely will be high on the list.

Jason Candle is also an option as he interviewed last go around.

Chesney from JMU is going to be high on the list, but I think he might get a look at Penn St.Plus he seems like he wants to stay in the northeast as I think every job he has had has been in the northeast.

How do you know this?

NIL, rev share, unlimited transfers, 12 team playoffs.

i dunno... like i said, he's much more familiar with Ole Miss, so if that's open, it's hard to not see him taking that, just due to that familiarity while taking on a bigger job... he's coached, basically, at 3 programs... Kentucky, Ole Miss, and Tulane... he may feel more comfortable taking a big job somewhere where he knows the landscape, vs going to an unknown while trying to acclimate to the demands of a big time program...

He was at Ole Miss for 1 season.

He was at San Diego for 4 years.

Kentucky like 4-5 years but 2 separate times.

Troy for 2 years.

He was Raised in Alabama. Coached at Troy for 2 years and his wife is an Auburn grad.

How is 1 year at Ole Miss as a linebacker coach knowing the landscape more than Auburn?

2. there's no gurantee it "hurts" either program, in the long run..

Right, it might hurt the signing class next week or whenever it is but the portal is still a thing. And honestly I don’t think it would even hurt the recruiting class that much because players know that they can just transfer out.
the only way Sumrall goes to Florida is if Kiffin stays at Ole Miss, or Ole Miss hires someone else when Kiffin leaves... he has prior history of coaching at Ole Miss, so he's much more likely to take the Ole Miss job, as his first "big" job, over Florida for that very reason

Auburn would also have to keep Durkin. Auburn is most likely Sumralls top choice.

Plus I believe Sumrall pulled his name from the Florida job last week or so.

And potentially dent or scuff the bumper? What did that Civic ever do to you?

Yeah we went through that when Fritz left, Sumrall had to come in and fire pretty much everyone because they were trying to get players to go to Houston. It’s going to hurt North Texas unless they can promote/hire someone real quick.

Where would Sumrall go?

Stay at Tulane another year and be in the mix for likely Baylor, Wisconsin, Florida St, Kentucky, North Carolina (who wanted him before the Billy B circus happened) next season?

re: Alex Golesh hired at Arkansas?

Great hire if accurate. I'm a little surprised Bobby P didn't find a way to slither his way back in, to be honest.

If I was an Arkansas fan I would have preferred Morris over Golesh.

I'm curious to see where Petrino lands. I wonder if North Texas would kick the tires on him.

You should be happy Loomis didn't throw in a 4th round pick to help with the release.

Stupid fricking administration in Lafayette.

You realize we learned the hard way about hiring a 'forever' coach.

Scelfo was hired because the President didn't want to replace RichRod after two years (it was pretty much known that he was going to West Virginia opened up).

Bob Toledo was hired because of his past success and they felt his age would keep him from jumping to a bigger job.

Curtis Johnson was hired because the school thought he could recruit at a top level (for us at least) and that since he was a home town guy he would stay long term. Johnson was handcuffed a little because he was kind of forced to hire Price as his OC. However Johnson was a terrible coach overall. He didn't discipline guys and would also favor playing local kids over out of state kids because he didn't want to 'hurt' recruiting locally.

Our last two hires were not exactly 'splash' names.

I know there was some hype when Toledo was hired because of his success at Ucla and then fans thought Curtis Johnson was going to be a slam dunk because of his alleged recruiting prowess.

This isn't the best year to hire a coach for a school like Tulane but we are top 3 in NIL money in the conference and we pay our coaches pretty well (around 3 million a year).

Silverfield

Not happening

The fact that he hasn't really ever been considered for a bigger job is telling.

Memphis is in top 3 of NIL in the American Conference and I believe have never played for the championship.

Taking Morris off the board (hired by Ok St). No clarity on whether he was offered the Arkansas job.

If Arkansas didn't offer him then that is criminal from the AD.....especially if

Unless Arkansas pulls out some hail Mary hire Morris could have made Arkansas a fun school to follow.

2 questions....

1. Shaved?

2. Freak?
I would read scripture with all of these young ladies.

Probably two reasons.

1. They were popular and 'going against the popular thing' is popular.

2. Scott Stapp could be douchey sometimes.....
