re: Why is Shea Patterson wearing #20?

It's the number of schools he committed to before he was able to get his brother a job.

Ignorance....

Umm in that case he would wear #2 seeing how he only commited to 2 schools including OM.

We all know PP wore 7, but it didn't gain hype until he passed it to Mathieu and tbh Mathieu was better in his limited time. Was Patrick a Heisman finalist? ? Didn't think so.

Ummm yeah your young....PP made the number 7 jersey what it is and was the first to hit the Heisman pose in it. TM7 elevated the number because of his highlights but there wouldn't be the iconic #7 without PP dude. One of the best if not the best DB LSU has produced this century.

He is throwing "L"s for LSU....he's done that ever since he commited to LSU. If you ask him where is going to play football and he says in his laid back attitude "DBU" and throws up the L. An anyone who knows greedy knows he would throw up the "L"s as a sign he's all LSU...even wearing another teams jersey. There isn't a more solid LSU recruit than Greedy.

What? Your post doesn't make much sense so I'll try to answer what I think your trying to say. My point was that LSU had Shea and he was LSUs to lose....if LSU would have found a way to have kept his brother on staff LSU would have the #1 QB in the country enrolled at LSU this semester. That's a garuntee....not a guess. I worked out with Shea 6 days a week and he was 100% LSU even with Frank's committed....a guy like Shea isn't scared to compete and he knew he would beat out Frank's. Everyday we worked out all he talked about was LSU until word was his brother wouldn't have a job much longer and then Ole Miss started creeping in and then our convos became less about LSU and more about OM.

I also know it's impossible for LSU to get every LA recruit but some posters here act is if North LA isn't LSU territory when it could be if LSU put the effort in. It's become laid back in that part of the state and has caused some recruits to get away that usually hurt us down the road. Some of the SECs best players are LA boys.

I would not consider north Louisiana as LSU's backyard. South Louisiana is where LSU gets the pick of the litter. North LA has Dallas area, Arky, Bama, the Mississippi schools all right there in driving distance and some closer than BR.

I've heard this statement a few times on this board and has to be the most retarded thing said on here. So is North Louisiana not apart of Louisiana? It's that thinking is why we continue to lose north LA recruits. Say what you want about North LA but if LSU recruited that area better we wouldn't lose to North LA recruits every year...smh. And for the other retards on this thread who know nothing about Patterson...he played in Louisiana just 5 months ago. Not 2 years ago. He played in Louisiana for 2 years but was here for almost 3. He was in Louisiana for longer than Texas....he's originally from Ohio. We had his brother on staff with all his friends and family in Louisiana so he had ALL allegiance to Louisiana and he was LSU to lose. Some of you dumbarses have to come up with excuses to mentally get over us losing him to OM....all y'all wanted to put all your stock in Frank's our savior saying Shea had no chest to compete and now we have neither. Smh. LSU will beat OM but we let them have the best QB in this class so OM won't be fading away to the bottom of the SEC anytime soon.

An before anyone says a retard comment like "hey Mr Patterson" I'm actually the guy who trained SP since he stepped foot in Louisiana. Now please stop with the SP threads....and actually talk about guys we do have committed or going after.

Which is why he will fit in perfect with TCU soft defense...
This game would be a blowout if Patterson played every series...

re: IMG Academy (FL)

Not all those kids pay 70K a year to attend IMG....they have to have high profile guys to draw attention to the school. Shea Pattersons family doesn't make close to that...he didn't pay a cent to go their and I'm sure he's not the only one.
You mention the worst game of his career where their D1 running back didn't play so his only option was to throw? He never threw 43 passes EVER in a game. Btw same year....he beats WM at WM where Byrd got taken to the woodshed a few games later...smh come back when you know what your talking about...thanks. LSU ain't getting him and you can be upset all you want but don't try to take away from the kids talent.
quote:

Someone with a lot of time today...look at the top 20 quarterbacks in Division I. If more than 25% of those were 4 or 5 *'s coming out of high school I will kiss your arse. The scouting services don't know quarterbacks.

You should also research before making a post like this....do you know how many 4* ratings they give to QBs a year? Not many. Know how many 5* ratings they give out? Even less. There is 1000+ more 1-3* QBs than 4-5* QBs so yes statistically you'll have some slip through the cracks. These scouting services evaluate talent that hasn't even fully developed yet so of course you will have guys that hit full maturity and become great but also statistically recruiting sights do a pretty good job with the amount of kids they evaluate. They also evaluate this talent at the high school level....its up to the college coach to help translate that to the college game not the evaluators.
He's not LSU QB material...they won most games because everyone went deep and he took off running which he won't be able to do at LSU. The one good secondary they did face this year shut him down...
quote:

The system he was in and talent advantage his team had in HS made him look far better than he was.

What talent advantage are you talking about?? At Calvary he only had 2 D1 offensive players around him and didn't beat some trash teams....he was beating Louisiana 5A powerhouses that had way more talent. Then goes to IMG and competed against the nations best... An a few of there games they won BECAUSE of Patterson. Like I said back when we were in the running for him I would love to have him at LSU but he will go to Ole Miss and have a pretty good career and probably beat a lot of their QB records....LSU had its chance and had him in the bag but chose to go with Frank's and now we have neither.

re: New QB Target

Posted by Olddawg on 11/23/15 at 10:06 pm to
I've yet to see a Louisiana QB in the 2016 class that I want under center at LSU. People keep saying Wudtee from parkway but he's not LSU caliber from the many games I've seen on him. Saw Lindsey Scott only once against Calvary and wasn't impressed by his throwing ability but could have been he was going against 3 D1 DBs....he made his plays by having everyone going deep and him taking off. Fourcade I wouldn't trust throwing the ball either playing for a team like Rummel...and his dad is an Ex Ole Miss starting QB. I remember when his dad went on a rant about how Ole Miss was making a mistake by making Patterson their guy and should go with his son lol that being said I think we should stick to trying to get an OOS QB for 2016 and work on keeping Lowell in 2017.

You must be kinda stupid....
Am I the only one who thinks watching fournette play is almost beautiful like? Like when a musician makes music or a painter paints a picture....just natural to them. When fournette runs everything just looks natural....he has had me in awe since I saw him play in the 9th grade an he still keeps me on the edge of my seat. Love it. That being said....I really want les to go ahead an let LF7 break a lot of these records so we can get em out of the way and stop hearing about em. Yes I want him to break every RB record their is and leave his legacy as the greatest RB to ever play the game but it's almost Lebron-like the records they say fournette has broken lol every lebron game announcers say something crazy like "lebron now holds the record for most consecutive made free throws in the 2nd quarter of the all star game held since 1977". Lol I love breaking records but I love NC more....an I'm SO glad we have an unselfish RB that cares more about the team and winning then his individual accolades.

re: Zachary at Calvary Baptist at 7:00

Posted by Olddawg on 9/25/15 at 10:57 pm to
Zachary had just scored quickly on Calvary and Calvary was inside the 5 yard line with 1:15 left....if it was reversed an they gave the ball back to Zachary with a timeout left an they scored Calvary would have looked stupid....so they scored to put it out of reach.
I think he ment career TDs cause he only threw one this season so far
5th best in the SEC?! Puhhhhlease! Id think after the whipping yall got auburn posters would have deleted their profile much less comment on LSU
Some also forget the state game was the first game of the season....had some rust to get off. Auburn game he missed 2 receivers on bad passes...every other incompletion the ball hit the receiver in the hands. He managed the game and never tried to force any bad throws and ran when he needed to. He will catch his stride....not worried in the least.
Arden key is gonna be teabagging JJ all night
