...and you can’t test only a small focused niche of the population and claim you know what the disease is doing in a group of 4.9 million. That’s not how THAT works. It is also not even how Trump is saying it should be done. Countries who have been able to contain the disease without shutting everything down have been doing their testing aggressively and proactively.

The testing here has been crap. 12000 people tested in Harris county out of 4.9 million. It has been reactive and focused on people who are already obviously sick. If Abbott doesn’t address that pronto, this is going to go south quick. They say “the curve has been flattening” but if you look at their own data, I just don’t see how they are coming up with that.
