Batman is smarter than Kent - not even debatable.
While Batman was busy reinventing the boomerang, teenage Superman was building Clark Kent robots in his parents' basement.

Tonight would be a good night to watch Fear Itself (S4E4). It starts slow, but the second half makes up for it. Love the ending.

I hope this is just temporary. You can still access the site as it was on Wednesday at least.
re: Terminator 5 probably PG13

They should take advantage of digital projectors and release PG-13 and R-rated versions simultaneously. Ditto for Jurassic Park 4 and the Mad Max reboot.

The Thing, but do not underestimate Xenomorph. One egg could wipe us out.

re: Viggo Mortensen is not a big fan of the LOTR trilogy
Posted by Ace Ventura on 5/18/14 at 3:46 pm
That video is based on quotes taken out of context. This is what Mortensen actually said:
quote:
“Anybody who says they knew it was going to be the success it was, I don’t think it’s really true,” he says. “They didn’t have an inkling until they showed 20 minutes in Cannes, in May of 2001. They were in a lot of trouble, and Peter had spent a lot. Officially, he could say that he was finished in December 2000 – he’d shot all three films in the trilogy – but really the second and third ones were a mess. It was very sloppy – it just wasn’t done at all. It needed massive reshoots, which we did, year after year. But he would have never been given the extra money to do those if the first one hadn’t been a huge success. The second and third ones would have been straight to video.”
re: What are your favorite scenes in Superhero movies?
Posted by Ace Ventura on 5/1/14 at 6:46 pm
quote:
Superman II - The moment Clark knows he can't hide who he is from Lois anymore.
After Spider-Man saves the train in Spider-Man 2, and the people realize he's just a kid
Nightcrawler attacks the White House in X2.
The last scene of Unbreakable where Bruce Willis reveals to his son that he was right and that Willis saved the family from the rapist.
The plane rescue scene in Superman Returns.
Also:
Superman- Virtually everything before Otis appears.
Batman Begins- "...it's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me..."
The Dark Knight- Any scene with the Joker.
Thor- Thor flying through that giant creature's skull on the ice planet and then landing like a boss. Later, Thor getting his hammer back.
The Avengers- Captain America jumping out of the plane.
The Avengers- The scene with The Other telling Loki what's going to happen if he betrays them. "You will have your war, Asgardian. If you fail, if the Tesseract is kept from us, there will be no realm, no barren moon, no crevice where he can not find you. You think you know pain? He will make you long for something as sweet as pain."

The biggest flaw was that in a society that has mastered galactic travel, was the they could not E-Mail plans for a battle station to each other.
That's basically how they got caught. "Several transmissions were beamed to this ship by Rebel spies."

But the addition of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver just boggles my mind. So many better characters, and they already have 6 awesome characters to work with. I get the need for new blood, but if that means less screen time for Cap, IM and Thor, I'm not so sure it's a good thing. If they wanted a character to help carry the show....there's a hefty list of better choices.
Whedon said the Avengers in the first film all had mostly "punchy" powers and he wanted to add more variety.

Did a search and found out this was originally posted on the OT by TH03 a couple of days ago. I missed it there, so maybe others did too. If you're a Superman fan, you need to see this.
