Return of the waffle house on college drive. took them way 2 long.
thing looks beautiful
whats up with port royal next to it? theyre gonna b back?
whats up with those alleged new waffle houses n the area?
yea i like everything about that whole zone except for when u get some pretentious, pastel pink chubby shorts wearing, $100 haircut, mamas boy overusing the word "low country".
but ive had some dopeass stuff thats supposed to be LC food. gotta love shrimps and crabs.
and they got some kinda frog obsessed people called the gullah gullah

i dont think we can take you seriously, even if you would have responded in somewhat coherent english

german food defenders will sink to the lowest lows(ad hom/h8ing on brs only real rbpb) to distract from the fact that the food is doodoo
^ what the...some of that sounds GOOD!

but the best sounding things on that menu are 100% french or italian.
and then youve got weird grey areas like flamekuechle which is nothing to be proud of tbh.
but the description for wurst plate sounds like hot trash, and reasserts the fact that german food needs to go away.
sorry to be a hater but it really is too bad and needs to get called out

shoot that stuff is usually pretty expensive so i always go with the crystal or the texas pete. maybe ima buy that!
^psshhh yea right. what exactly did you eat that was good? ive acknowledged that wiener schnitzel can be good and sauerbraten is passable. but german food defenders always like to beat around the bush with what makes it hisuch good food.
like are you gonna say you had some kinda good wurst or ham hock? cuz that shizzz is fuggin terrrrible mah dude
yall need to quit arguing about that bs, waffle house is FOR the people BY the people. all colors and creeds are WELCOME so u can bring any of ur friends!

fuggin right ima hit that bih UP!!!

Pinettas does some pretty good German food.

true, the wiener schnitzel with a la carte red sauce is pure fiyah.
and the sauerbraten is a roast beef with a lot of clove and its good as well.

But German food as a whole is really pathetic. It's literally the worst cuisine I've ever encountered. It's always bland and unimaginative. That ish is nothing more than mere sustenance.
With german food youll get like three shades of brown and grey on a plate and if you dont wolf it down before it gets cold, you're left with inedible garbage(sauerkraut).
It looks gross, it tastes gross, you look gross when you eat it(cuz u eat it fast). in short its gross!

And while a good beer selection is great, a city only needs about 1 german restaurant for every 2.5 million residents. And we've already got the handful of german dishes at pinettas in a city of less than 1 million!

So the real thread title should be "why does Baton Rouge have so many german restaurant(s)?"

first thought is that the word crayfish rlly kills me even tho im rlly tolerant with pronunciation and stuff.
but how do crawfish grow in sweden?!?

They've been tearing that thing up for like half a month. When is that thing gonna reopen and whats the big idea?!?!
i know somebody from detroit who hoots and hollers about how good "arabic" food is in detroit and how ordering a gyro or shwarma anywhere else is blasphemy.
Ive always thought thats bs because we have incredible offerings that feature gyros and shwarma, but we dont ever call it arabic food, we call it greek/lebanese, and we do have a lot of lebanese folk in louisiana.

so am i right in saying weve got a surprisingly strong showing of greek/lebanese restaurants?

imo romans, arzis, serops, albasha, zorbas, and atcha bakery are all very good meals
Whoever put the edwards freezer box pie. Bingo, those are fiyah every single time.

Second best dessert in the world behind brownies and bluebell homemade vanilla, imo.
wtf. I dont go to that brewbachers but them closing is BS! Everything on their menu is good. The one in drusilla has a bombass roastbeef cheesesteak and the one on government has the best red beans and rice special.

smfh brewbachers kicks azz
I like the taste of sriracha, but it is just not as useful as tabasco. Tabasco's such a simple flavor that its application is damn near universal. And while I generally prefer putting crystal on an end product, tabasco is more useful for cooking with. The flavors thicker or something, and definitely hotter, its mandatory for any soup and crystal doesnt cut it.

Sriracha has got so much going on in it that it can hurt a dish if the chemistry aint right.

Pretty much everything goes with red pepper, so tabasco wins!!!
saw the price of that bullet rye and nearly shat myself. Thats a $20-25 whiskey, never higher than 30.

I have noticed a two or three dollar jump in a lot of rank and file quality bourbons recently in baton rouge though. like where turkey, buff trace, and eagle rare were 20-22 for the longest time, im now paying 24.99 at walmart for turkey 101. been buying Jim Beam black a lot cuz its very good and maybe 19.99 or 20.99 and if im looking to polish that bad boy in a day or two, its worth saving the 5 bucks
