I bought a couple of them from the Perkins Rd. produce store last fall. I kept some seeds and will plant soon. My Grandfather would plant them and also me and my father-in-law did the same. They were called "long neck pumpkins" around here.

I had the same issue due to lack of air circulation. I installed a small dehumidifier and problem solved.

If you can stand to look at them the rest of the spring, and get half the crop, keep them. I've tried saving mine in the past and was sorry I didn't replace.
