Shhh don't give me hope! Kraken have definitely had a strong start, I am cautiously optimistic.

So I finished this yesterday and really enjoyed it. I think it helps that I had incredibly low expectations as this was released straight to streaming here in the states.
I liked that it was completely different from the other films, it was all about a self contained horror story and it worked for me. Jack Kesy did a great job in the role. It does have a small budget so there are some lame visual effects , but overall I enjoyed it and would recommend giving it a watch.

Saw it last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a hilarious post credits scene so definitely stick around.
Also, was that a Joe Rogan cameo towards the end of the film when they are in his "work shop"?

It wasn't mating season. We had a dry spell when this happened and the gators went to the deeper water.

I'm a revolver guy. So my main is a S&W bodyguard 38 for a pocket pistol and I typically also have my bond arms 45LC as a backup.

Play any of the other courses out on Kiawah, they are all spectacular. Much nicer than anything you would find in Charleston proper.

Yes it is and while you are over there, play Trump Turnberry. That course is the BEST course I have ever played. The R&A, PGA, etc needs to stop being bitches and put it back in rotation for the open, but they won't because it has "Trump" in the name.

Overall it finally looks like we are getting a new movement in the GOP with much needed new voices/leadership (Vance, Vivek, etc). I am cautiously optimistic and I am trying to temper my excitement.
However, with that being said Pompeo, Haley, Gaetz, etc are not welcome in this new movement of the GOP. They should have never been allowed to take that stage, they represent everything that was wrong with the GOP. These people need to stay far away from any leadership position within Trumps inner circle.

1. The government would kill you and then probably label you as a conspirator with the POS, because the government is never at fault.
2. And the larger issue...............this is why the 2nd amendment is so important, you are your own first responder. After Uvalde and now this epic fail by LEO, shut them all down and return us our money. They can't protect a former president and the supreme court has said they don't have any obligations to protect us.

Thank you to this board for recommending this! I burned through the first book. I like physical copies so the only bad thing now is I have to wait until the hardcover release of book 2 in September.

re: I'm convinced education's steep decline began and continues today for 3 main reasons!

Observations from a current teacher who will probably be fleeing for any thing else.
The department of education, the lousy parents, and social media/cell phones.
A. The Department of Education:
We are spending an absorbent amount on education which is why I always laugh when I see people say, "throw more money at it". Here are the issues:
1. most of the money that goes to school districts is being spend on bloated salaries of administrators/central office staff. I teach at a large school in the south, we have 2700 students roughly. We have 8 administrators and 4 assistant superintendents. That is quite a chunk of change being spent on people who are not in the classroom.
2. To receive federal/state funding for your school district, you must meet certain criteria set forth by the DOE.....most of it is useless and expensive so by the time you have already spent the money on meeting the criteria the money that you are getting in return isn't much of a profit to be used for students/etc.
3. The Cult of Standardized Testing...…..absolute waste of money and in no way is educational.
4. The founding of the DOE was for Jimmy Carter to pander to teacher unions (oh and in the south many of the states don't have unions, so STFU is you are talking about teacher unions in the south). Abolish it!
B. Lousy Parents
Your child is an a-hole, you are an a-hole, and you are the problem of why they are assholes. Nuff' said, if I pissed you off, good. Be a better parent.
If you are a good parent, thanks! However, you are outnumbered by the assholes and the absentee parents who have pawned off their child to the state to raise. I have zero interest in raising your child nor should it be my responsibility, I have my own children to raise, all I want to do is teach my class and go home and spend time with my kids.
C. Social Media/Cellphones
Again, be a fricking parent and don't give your child a damn cell phone. If you do give them a cell phone they don't need a smart phone.

That escape plan from Blackbeard was badass. Light a ship on fire and sail it right into one of Rogers’s ships, create chaos, and then escape into the night while the ships are scrambling. Brilliant.
That is actually historical, with the exception of it being Jack Rackham that did this instead of Blackbeard. Jack also stole one of their larger ships and left his smaller ship as a decoy that they blew to smithereens and when they realized what had happened he was long gone and they were out of canons

Spaghetti Westerns are my preferred westerns and I went on a huge binge last summer.
Death Rides a Horse, I loved! Especially as a Lee Van Cliff fan this was great.
The Great Silence..........wasn't for me. I discovered I'm not a fan of Sergio Corbucci......man that guy is depressing as were most of his films. However, I did appreciate how this film was different as far as the "winter western" etc

Man! You are in for a treat.
Amazing films. The second is my favorite of the series, especially the end.
Very underrated, especially if you are a fan of Sam Raimi, you will like this film. It's a lot of fun.
