Bink Grimes has private freshwater marsh around Matagorda. Will take your money even if they don’t have birds.
Run and Gun, not of fan of them but would direct request one guide they have Brandon Zahn.
Rockport is fun for cast/blast. I go with Blake Muirhead Gator Trout Guide Service he’s got a brand new airboat.

I question any “grassroots” protests in history I’ve read or seen on TV.
Paid protesters de legitimize any of past protests outside of a revolution.

I modeled out where my traditional (70%) and Roth (30%) would be at 55 and 60 and realized we will have a lot more traditional than I would like as a percentage of total retirement savings.
All employer contributions going to traditional and 10 years maxing traditional on my side I’m converting all our contributions to Roth until I see projections that suggest otherwise.

Adding inflation adjusted balances is a capability too of ChatGPT. At 2.5% inflation your money is worth half as much in 28.8 years. The more you know!
The inflation adjustment definitely adds a powerful dimension to the analysis.

I’m 40 and modeling hard for 55-57 retirement.
Was using modeling to understand where I expect my balances to be across:
1 Traditional
2 Tax free (Roth + HSA)
3 Capital gains (brokerage and real estate)
I also modeled based on what was available to us at which age.

I tried the same with ChatGPT and it did decent enough.
I did use it for excel formulas and put them into a workbook and modeled different return rates.
Did you learn anything you didn’t know through the process?

I don’t think we necessarily eliminate but it’s an incredible bargaining chip. Has to be some tariff related charges that can level the playing field here.
I contract H1-B for my company in the software space and the amount that makes it to their pockets vs what we pay the suppliers is astounding.
For example I pay $150/hr for SAP consultant. Breakdown is as follows:
20% to supplier with MSA = $30/hr
20% of remaining to H1-B sponsor employer = 24/hr
Out of the $150/hr they are seeing 96/hr or 65% of what we’re willing to pay.

Did they guide you out or self-guided? Little spooky to think about going out there without guide/firearm.

If you kept on a lift in Matagorda harbor you were required to tow boat out for any named storm coming to Texas.
For insurance purposes (this was 6 years ago) there was different deductible if you boat was within 75 miles of coast (much higher deductible) vs outside of 75 miles (normal deductible).
