re: Venice question

There's another museum opposite the entrance to St. Mark's, but I can't remember the name. It wasn't expensive, and we got tickets there. Lots of old artifacts, maritime relics (guns, ship parts, armor) along with sculptures and such. We took paid the additional few euros to to to the upper floors of St. Mark's where you can go outside on the balcony and take pics of the square. You buy those inside the basilica at a separate counter.

Depending on the weather, you may want to pay for the elevator to the top of the bell tower to get a great view of the entire island and surrounding islands.

You can usually book gondola rides ahead of time and save some money.

Be sure to pop inside every small church you see, They are all spectacular.

Heve fun!
That was Roger and Gene. They had it opened and humming along until Covid killed the business off. Roger took off first and Gene tried to keep it open.

Gene now works making poboys at Short Stop in Metairie. Not sure where Roger went after he left.
Have some flight credits to burn and was looking for a new place to visit in late May/June. Two adults, 4 day max trip. Would like somewhere out west, preferably with minimal driving to main attractions/hiking areas. Recommendations for lodging would be a plus. Been to Tennessee too many times to count. Thank you.
Just got a Canon Rf 50mm f/1.2 today :nana:
Get a used Canon R6 Mark II mirrorless and an RF 50mm f/1.8 for that price.
The correct answer is Tuxedos to Geaux in Metairie. Suit with shirt and tie $179, with a vest $199.

Lifetime alterations included., good selection, quick turnaround if you go during the week. Weekends are busy.
There are people that “need” coffee with cream and sugar every day.
I work at a newer facility and I work a hell of a lot less than I did before. Technology has taken a huge amount of the physical work away. Couldn’t see myself going back to an old, leaky plant where you turn valves constantly. Life is good.
I started at age 43 with no experience and fresh out of Ptec school. That was almost 10 years ago.

Yeah. frick those people. They are paid environazis that enrich themseand don’t really give a shite about the environment. The rubies terms like “environmental racism” to fire up their out of town donors. They’re the ones holding up the permitting of Formosa in St. James.

Saw 38 Special there. They also eventually opened a Mudbugs in Kenner on Williams Blvd near where Autozone is before West Esplanade.
