if he gets those 3.. losing hootie, brown and willis wont leave a blimish this year - imo

losing those 3 has more to do with embarrassment of losing 5 star players from in-state and one whose sister is already enrolled at LSU and LSU was thought to be a lock for him considering that he wants to run track and play football something LSU would let him do, than how badly we need all three of them. Willis is a position of need but LSU will be fine and rebound well without him.

As far as I feel though it is real simple - FTG's :doublebird:

depends on where we stand under the 85 player limit. In other words depends on attrition. Have no clue where we currently stand relative to that limit.

don't see how that is even possible with losing 10 underclassmen "scholly's" last year and 5 so far this year along with Brazil. I would have to believe we could sign a full class of 25 and be fine with the numbers.

But with only 18 committed, I think there would have to be a few flips like "Speaks, Taylor, Valentine & Iheanacho" for us to hit 25 recruits assuming we get Dupre, Young & Kelly.

But as we have all witnessed from this years recruiting, those are all big assumptions. I personally feel we land 22 or 23 commits. Which in my mind is a slight disappointment and only in the fact considering the program we have built at LSU.

But if we have 22 to 23 recruits we should have at least a top 3 class across the board and that is pretty f*cking awesome.

my non-sourced opinion is that we land him as long as the visit goes well.

After this years recruiting news, I will believe it when I see it on the dotted line.

On top of the fact that Miami has the last visit and Golden is not leaving "at least this year" I wouldn't bet anything you can't afford to lose on Valentine signing with the Tigers.

Getting the best recruit in the country is still a great day.

I might add, and the #1 safety in the country!!!

Just pointing out Robinson was recruited by Grimes

Uh, I don't know if it is quite fair to completely credit Grimes with Robinson going to Auburn. A lot of credit has to go to the man with NO chest "Dumber Kiel."

CamRob started classes yesterday, I think. He enrolled a week ago. He gone.

Great now hopefully people can stop talking about that guy, and start talking up our guys!!!

He gone, goodbye, he's tiga-bait. Let him move to Alabama permanently for all I care!!!!

Can he flip C Rob?

Are you serious, CRob is gone let it go man!!! He is tiga-bait, it is what it is.

why is it necessary to make fun of people who have given LSU years of quality service and, considering the circumstances, did a pretty creditable job?

six all SEC olinemen who helped to create four 1Kyd backs while trying to handle two jobs and the oline injury plague last year. can't we just say thanks and good luck? some of you guys act like back-stabbing jr. high twats.

All of that above were great comments and should be what is done, kudo's for saying it.

Then you followed it up with
quote:

.to what, we're not sure.
now that was a douche comment.

How about welcome to the greatest state, college and football program in the country!

i dont know which direction we're going in ever since the jan 2 fiasco

Are you f*cking serious. Setback not fiasco. How do you call getting commitments from the #1 recruit in the country and #1 safety in the country a "fiasco." Get off the ledge big boy it ain't that bad. Was it a setback? I think that would be hard to argue that is wasn't, but getting LF and Adams made it a whole lot better.

I wouldnt be surprised if we closed this class with only 18 or 19 signees

That is not going to happen.

This just proves once again how fast the internet really works, for both good and bad.

A high school coach from one of VT recruits blew this news wide open, amazing!!!!

Just what're needed. A nice hire.

The recruiting board does not need negative comments. I would love to see this board as a positive venue

Unfortunately not everything is positive in the recruiting world. Take 5 for 5, we had 2 positive outcomes and 3 negative outcomes so you want people just to say everything went great that day? Not how the world works on top of the fact it would be a big lie.

This is the reality of it, this really doesn't belong on this board. Take it to SEC Rant or Recruiting because we don't give a shite. Don't mean to be a dick, but this is not the forum for your musings!!!!

in the modern world, any body who feels a twinge of unhappiness can promptly go to the Tiger Rant and whine until they get it out of their systems.

This is a forum for Tiger fans to express their thoughts and opinions with individuals that share the same passion not all are going to be positive or negative,

quote:

Recently, a lot of crybabies can't help but express their discontent over the facts:

Well if they are "fact" maybe they have a justifiable reason to express discontent.

quote:

1) that our QB who played in the recent bowl game simply didn't instill confidence, which means, to them, that we will suck next year;

Anyone who watched the Jennings game against Iowa should have come away with some concern over his performance. But good thing for LSU he will have an entire spring and summer to improve along with some pretty good talent to push him or succeed him if he doesn't improve.

quote:

(2)that LSU has not gotten committments from every single one of the high school seniors that this or that fan proclaims as top notch;

Big exaggeration, are LSU fans concerned with what happened in Louisiana as far as recruiting goes. I think it is safe to say that most of us are disappointed with what has transpired and that has raised some concerns, but so far LSU is still ranked very high as far as team ranking go. But if you are not just a little bit concerned it probably would not be prudent.

quote:

(3) that too many of our undergraduate players are "leaving early", which, to them, signals a serious problem with our coaching staff;

I don't like to see it either and it is definitely starting to be a sign of the times, but maybe there are things the coaching staff can do to recruit from within a little better. Then again maybe not!

quote:

(4)that Alabama seems to be hiring assistant coaches who will be unsurpassed experts during the recruiting process.

Unfortunately the Gumps have a lot to offer, if your a coach and get an offer to coach at Bama it might be too good to pass up. This isn't going to change for a while it seems so worrying over it is stupid, but the reality is it makes it more difficult for their opponents. It is what it is nothing you can do about it.

quote:

If everyone would just stop and wait a few hours or so before launching into a "I don't feel well because things aren't going perfectly at LSU" complaint, perhaps the number of whining messages would decrease. Give consideration to the fact that, in the scheme of things, college sports just isn't a life and death matter.

Nothing is going to be perfect and neither will this board be, maybe you need to chill-lax a little and just let things play out. People are going to complain when things don't go the way they think it should and heap praise when it does. After following this board for a long time I don't see it any different than any other board or the way life turns.
quote:

he doesn't deserve to be bashed.

What is all this crap about bashing Freak, I haven't seen any threads about bashing Freak or any other player that has declared for the draft! People need to chill. No one is bashing Freak so we don't need any threads stating it that is for sure.
quote:

NFL scouts already take that into account when projecting these guys in the draft so any bump, if at all, would have been negligible. Actually could have come back and hurt his drafts status as likely as helping it.

There is a show called "Numbers Never Lie" the percentages say it would have been better for him to come back and try to have a stellar senior season.
I thought Holland looked better than any other receiver we are targeting on that list. But that is just from the highlight video's shown.

That being said Holland really looked like a beast, especially after the catch!!!
