The Tulane game in 1980 was miserable. It rained cats and dogs the entire game. We won 24-7 if I recall correctly

You HAVE to start with a FOUNDATION. This is what consistent successful programs have built on. Coach Wade did NOT establish this when he first arrived, IMO. I believe LSU will be so much stronger in 3 years than what some perceive the program HAD achieved with Coach Wade.

I expect Coach McMahon to have to start from a difficult situation. This will give him a fresh opportunity to instill his program’s foundations and drive. I feel this will build cohesion and unity within our program. This is LSU!
I expect Coach McMahon to compete for and win championships at LSU. I expect him to shape young minds and mold young men into Champions. This will happen sooner rather than later, he is a great coach and remember always, THIS IS LSU!
I hope we can get some former players like Shaq, Temple, Mays, Tyrus and others, to spend some extra time around the program. We are coming.
We start now.

I remember. I also feel that Coach Wade is not the best coach that LSU can have at this time.
