re: Question about the Bayou Bash.
Posted by TearGuzzler on 2/3/14 at 1:12 am
L'auberge is often at 100% capacity, even on random weekends when nothing is going on(they actually have a problem with overbooking quite often). And the casino is pretty full just about every weekend. So I highly doubt L'auberge is desperate, but rather just not passing on an opportunity to pick up an annual even that will bring people to the casino. I don't know a single hotel that would pass up an opportunity to fill up an empty day with even a moderately attended event. It doesn't cost the hotel much to put it on.
To be honest this is probably the best way to keep the Bayon Bash going, if it gets boring there is plenty to do near by.

The signature drive of McCarron's career was due to 3rd and Chavis deciding to play prevent D with 1:27 left.
Is McCarron the most overrated quarterback this year?

Second place in the heisman voting, Bama fans would put him in the top 3 in the SEC. Many people have always said that McCarron is only good because he has all day to throw. Whenever McCarron has gotten pressure in his career he has been pretty below average.
Well Oklahoma is getting great pressure on him this game, and McCarron has made some pretty awful decisions, even getting a few intentional groundings (though only one was called).
Is this the true McCarron? Or is it just a fluke? Is he still an NFL quarterback?

That is total nuts. Saban would have waited longer to sign if he really wanted to hear from Brown first. This was about a new contract. Had to make it look like he wasn't greedy. I bet most of this article is a total lie. Terry never went to Austin. She couldn't do that and tell WSJ that they are retiring in t-town. That happened about the same time.
If only Edward Snowden would have waited another year to make his move and leak all the NSA's information, we could have used the NSA's tracking of Terry's cellphone location to confirm or deny this.
Unfortunately Edward Snowden was a selfish prick who despite knowing about the possibility of Saban to Texas, decided to go ahead and burn his cover anyway.
Now all he does is track flights on flightaware.com from an internet cafe in Moscow and post to the coaching change's board from multiple alters. I've changed my mind about Snowden, I want him brought back and put to trial.
And thus concludes my all nighter due to too much ADD medication.

You should put this on the regular rant. I remmeber someone did a recruiting board update there a month or two back telling them how many big names we had visiting that weekend and everyone really liked it. If the rb goes and says, "Everyone going to Tampa should also go to the UA game because it will really help out." then people will respond positively to that.

I know a lot more Saints fans these days then I used to back in the Haslett days or any time before that.

Julius Thomas played last week and is playing again this week. Don't start Tamme unless you are trying to win a playoff game with 1 less player than your opponent, in which case I respect the effort. You aren't gonna offset shite from Peyton Manning by starting his backup TE when he has 3 receivers, a few runningbacks, and a much better and now healthy tight end that he prefers to throw to.

if the longhorn network is what is keeping Saban from going to Texas, then Texas will change the deal with the Longhorn Network. They will do whatever it takes.

He's referring to the idea that Gus is now the top coach in Bama making Saban second.

I figure all the important stuff will happen in the open session starting at 2.

Does anybody know what time the Texas board of regents meeting is tomorrow? I imagine we'll get some good stuff out of that whichever way it goes.
Never mind found it along with a schedule:

re: What would be a bigger surprise: State beats LSU vs. Auburn finishes last
Posted by TearGuzzler on 12/12/13 at 1:20 am
Not counting Missouri and A&M, there are only two SEC teams that Mississippi State has not beaten in this millennium: South Caronlia and LSU. LSU has won 13 straight games vs. MSU. USCe has one seven in a row even though they don't play yearly anymore, so USCe can share in some of the glory.
So yea, losing to MSU would be a big deal to LSU, but they are better these days so it wouldn't be the worst lost I guess :dunno:
Fittingly MSU last beat both of us in 1999, so at least there's that.

We are pretty much in the same boat either way. But if Saban goes to Texas at least we go to watch the Bama meltdown and subsequent tDecline.

Hmmm, let me think about that.
Current situation: We compete with Saban at Bama within the SEC every year, and while we do a pretty damn good job compared to everyone else, for the most part he still has a better program, out recruits us, and will probably win more crystal balls going forward than we will. Gump fans continue to be gump fans and we continue to have to deal with that shite every year.
Or Saban goes to Texas: Saban builds a powerhouse at Texas within a few years, is in the playoffs pretty much every year because of lolbig12. We will compete pretty damn well compared to just about everyone else in country, but for the most part he will still have a better program, out recruit us, and will probably win more crystal balls going forward than we will. BUTTT we get to watch the gump meltdown when Saban leaves for Texas, we get to watch Bama learn just how little Kirby Smart had to do with Alabama's defense being dominant, or watch them hire Dabo Sweeney. We get to watch Saban execute the same recruiting tactics in Alabama that he does currently in Louisiana because he knows the state inside and out. We get to watch Bama compete for a few years with Saban's talent, but ultimately wear down with a coach who will finally make us appreciate Les Miles. And we get to beat Bama more often and win more SEC titles, all at the expense of Alabama fans.
I don't know, you tell me if Saban going to Texas would be so bad?
