I suspect this all came down quickly and the promotion from within is because rehearsals have basically already begun. I'm sure a national search will take place and this is probably a temporary appointment. ...

I believe we will be big players in the portal. Michigan State was much improved after getting starters in the portal. One observation from my look through the portal is that the majority of these kids were 3-Stars.
I'd focus on the 4-Stars to find a quality player at a position of need. But, you ...

From Dallas (recruiting), team captain at Iowa (leader), played in NFL, coaching career includes two stints as a Co-DC at big time programs.... Seems like a good addition to the staff.. I'm in!

Transfers? Whatever, it does suck though. Losing recruits is worse if we don't start getting replacement commits or incoming transfers.
Still, I have faith we will still be a winner next year. The reset will be quick....

That's funny everywhere else I guess. Being from Louisiana, we have NO IDEA what that even means. We eat etoufee, gumbo, and many other delicious dishes, but corndogs aren't on anyone's menu.
