AMENDMENT NO. 1

To exempt raw materials, goods, commodities, personal property, and other articles stored in public and private warehouses and destined for the Outer Continental Shelf from property taxes.

Answer:
This is to clarify that oil and gas items used in federal waters are allowed to be in Louisiana temporarily without paying property tax. This helps clarify the current practice and helps support our offshore o&g services industry.

AMENDMENT NO. 2

To provide for appropriations from the Education Excellence Fund for the Louisiana Educational Television Authority, Thrive Academy and lab schools operated by public post-secondary education institutions.

Answer:
We already pay for these items in the state general fund, this just makes them eligible for their share of the income of a state trust fund for education that other similar schools also benefit from.

AMENDMENT NO. 3

To require prompt recovery of any unconstitutional tax paid and to allow the Board of Tax Appeals jurisdiction on matters related to the constitutionality of taxes.

Answer:
This is pro-taxpayer and was supported by all taxpayer and business groups. It makes clear that you have to have a remedy to get your money back if the state collected an unconstitutional tax from you, otherwise they could keep your money. Taxpayer groups and collectors also agreed that if your case is at the Board of Tax Appeals (99+% are) then let it hear the whole case. Everyone still has the option to go to regular court, but most taxpayers want to start their tax case in the tax court and the current system resulted in years of delay.

AMENDMENT NO. 4

To allow the City of New Orleans to exempt property within Orleans Parish from all or part of ad valorem taxes that would otherwise be due for promoting affordable housing.

Answer:
This is a special property tax break for affordable housing only in New Orleans.

Stros extend nets down the lines to essentially where the ball boys sit (effective for the next homestand on the 19th).

Need Help With Where To Eat In Paris

Posted by AlexBox on 7/6/19 at 11:06 am
Going to Paris for 5 days. I looked at Eater and several other resources, but the restaurant scene is overwhelming. If anyone has any can’t miss spots, I’d greatly appreciate the help. I’m looking for some reasonably priced options, as well as to do a couple of very nice tasting menu type places. Thanks in advance!

Season Ticketholder here and can't make every game. I'm happy to sell some tickets to games I can't attend. Send me your email and we can discuss.

Check out John Brady jump up at the bottom left of the screen doing the radio call.

That's actually Chris Blair you see in the purple. I was at the game, Blair was in purple and Brady was wearing black and sitting to Blair's left. Not trying to be a dick, but pointing out that Blair is loving him some Tigers since some people still seem to question that on this board. You could definitely hear Brady on the call though, loved that shot!
Any word on the ticket prices within that range and where seats may be at each level?

Thanks Cheer!
Lol, it definitely did not. Apparently I called everyone's baby ugly.
I never meant to imply Cheer wasn't doing a great job. Just an observation I made when I started reading the thread about 9:00 pm trying to catch up one night.
Seems simpler to just put it in the thread when the last out is made or when the first batter comes to the plate. I didn't realize I was asking for such a big deal. I thought it might help improve the thread for people not reading it live. My apologies.
Because I was at work and couldn't listen live, but wanted to see how we scored.
Yes, but it's the current score. If the game is in the 7th inning, but you're reading the thread relating to the 3rd inning, it can be tough to keep track.
Hey Cheer, just a suggestion, but would you mind including the score at the beginning or end of each half inning? I came in late the other night and was trying to read through the thread to catch up, but it's tough to keep up with the score as you scroll through if you're behind the live action.

 an actual CSB
Does the streaming feed on LSUSports.net cut out every 2 mins for everyone else? I keep having to hit play, then stop, then play to get it restarted.

re: Kentucky Bourbon Trail -- Pro Tips?

Went 2 years ago.

Went to Jim Beam, Makers, Woodford, Four Roses, and Wild Turkey. I highly recommend all but Wild Turkey (way too corporate feeling and the bourbon sucks). I would love to go back and go to Buffalo Trace (for Blantons).
If you're a student, it's Vandy and it's not close.

Agreed. He's starting his "second time through the order" (started with baseball last year). I'd say he's better this year. Let's give him a chance to get into his second football season and see what he does.
Speechles, what year did you graduate? I'm DHS class of 2001. Just curious if I know you.
