Well that's not really how that works. So I won't even ask you to tell me how much of your "paycheck" went to Ukraine

First, you responded to someone whose sole purpose is to insert the occasional funny quips into every thread. He doesn’t give a shite about your argument.

Second, that IS how it works. You’re money does go into a pot that is redistributed everywhere, and yes, that includes Ukraine.

quote:

irony is how people pointed fingers at Ukraine for being corrupt

Third, not disagreeing with what you say about USAID, but Ukraine was ABSOLUTELY used by Joe Biden himself in the same way USAID was accused. There’s no irony here -everyone pissed about Ukraine corruption, is angry about USAID

Edit: autocorrect changed “abused” to “accused”. I’ll leave it, but it does change the meaning of the sentence slightly.

“Subject to” is also up for interpretation. Why even add that part if “ All persons born or naturalized in the United States” is sufficient? Why the “and”?

He knows the debate about the meaning of these words is “textual” and not about a “living constitution.”

But here he is, continuing his “stubborn, yet smartest guy in the room” shtick.

He’s consistently wrong, but he has too much hubris to ever see it.

So is indefatigable, he’s in here too. Both, always so wrong

you do not necessarily even need to make the claim that the case was wrong.

I don’t personally agree that the US vs Wong Kim Ark case gives birthright citizenship to all non diplomats. I think the Indian issue resolves that. I chose my phrases for a little brevity. I also said “clarify.”

I do think it does add language/ideas to the amendment that was never there and never intended to be there.

The so-called precedent of this case needs to be scrapped and overruled, or clarified to address children of illegals.
No one is convincing SFP or his alter… MAGA is for it, so they’re against it.

Conflating the phrase “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof” to only mean “non-diplomats” is disingenuous. There’s a whole other perspective of the phrase: “not owing allegiance to another country.”

Sure the “non-diplomat” idea is partially supported through a court case. Some that many would say is “legislating from the bench.” That is why the issue of birthright citizenship needs attention: to overturn or clarify that US vs Wong Kim Ark case.

Leftists keep using this same case as the argument to “why,” but the point is to challenge it as wrongly applied and interpreted.

Damn buffering

I was buffering on WiFi. Hardwired fire stick to router, and the buffering stopped.

You need an OTG adapter and a USB Ethernet adapter. I typically use it in another room farther from my router.

Maybe he should work on restoring confidence in Congress?
Saw this post early this morning but didn’t watch. Now the video isn’t working.

I can’t make comments on the video but, it pisses me off when a Google search only shows “news reports” and not the raw footage.

medical malpractice/accidents are by far the leading cause of death in America

I’m not against patient safety initiatives, but this needs to go away. One study with less than 20 deaths was extrapolated nationwide to “create” this med error stat.
quote:

third leading cause of death

This is such a BS statistic and needs to die. That John’s Hopkins study extrapolated from other studies reporting 9 and 14 deaths then applied it to the rest of the country.

This absurdly high death count would mean that over 50% of hospital deaths are due to medical error.

Nah…. Most hospital deaths are because people are fricking sick. And fat. Sick and fat. And old. Sick, fat, and old.

These statistics are propaganda cited by journalists for clicks and hospital safety officers for jobs.

That said, I’m not against patient safety initiatives. I’m just against this statistic.
Isleton, CA Crawfish festival

Town south of Sacramento has an annual crawfish festival.

I’ve had 2 boils with their crawfish. It’s a different species. Tastes the same, but harder to peel. The tail shell is also flatter and wider.

Works when driving but not idling at a stoplight? That’s usually a fan problem.

Check to see if the radiator fan(s), there might be 2, are running. If one, or both, are not running when it’s blowing hot. That’s where I’d start.

use the identical relays right next to it to swap out and see if it will kick the compressor on.

This guy has good info, and it’s awesome that he put up a couple of pics.

Byrd, if you pull the other relay and it IS for the radiator fan, you still might not get cool air sitting in your driveway. It might just be too hot. You might need to take it for a drive somewhere you can get good air flow through the radiator like 50mph+ to actually get the AC blowing cold.
More importantly… WTF is Walroy?

Turns out it was a bad fill valve.

Had this happen on my first car. Delivered pizzas one summer without reliable AC. Would blow cold for a day or 2 after adding refrigerant and couldn’t detect a leak. Couldn’t figure out why it was losing refrigerant. Turns out, the mechanic used the sniffer when he was refilling the refrigerant and because the Schrader valve port was in use, it was sealed and wasn’t leaking. The working theory was someone that previously accessed that port forgot to recap, and road grime/debris got into the port creating a small leak.

Always recap your valves.

check the fuses later today

You’ll need a working/new relay. It’s not exactly the same as inspecting a fuse. You can’t tell if it’s a bad relay by looking at it.

I used a “Duralast Relay 20742” but I would check your year accord for exact fit.

I had the previous generation (2004) and had an ac problem. Just a relay switch. Like $8. You always hear, “did you check the fuses?” And it’s never the fuses. Well, it just might be the fuses this time. I know of 2 other accords that the relay was the fix. For one of them, my buddy drove it for 6 months thinking the compressor needed replacement. Hope that’s all you need. Too damn hot to not have ac

more than worth the $20 tip for a delivery order.

Inhome is Walmart+ addon for $20/month. The biggest benefit is no tipping. Sounds like it will pay for itself for you with one delivery.

Biggest drawback is the limited delivery times. Not a problem for me because my wife doesn’t work, but might make things more difficult for dual income homes. Almost like waiting for the cable guy with a 4hr window. Or you could use it as intended by letting the employee into your home. They’ll install a smart lock to do this, then the driver will put the cold items in the fridge for you. I don’t trust the idea of a stranger in my house when I’m not home though.

Mental toughness is way off here.

Dehydration is part of the game to cut weight to wrestle in a lower weight class. This is a fighting-sport issue more than it is a coach preaching mental toughness. The sport needs to better regulate this.
I have a 2018 ex-l. Road noise doesn’t seem to be a problem at all. It’s much quieter than my truck.

It’s had too many problems for me to actually recommend it to anyone though. The battery is way undersized. The sliding doors have way too many problems. I’ve heard about transmission problems, but haven’t had any yet. (I’m still under warranty for transmission, so I assume it will go out once that expires.) And I swear the Honda dealerships hire the absolute worst mechanics. They never find the problem, and default to the most expensive “fix” that doesn’t work.

I also don’t think that Honda is standing by their product. The sliding door issues should be a recall because sometimes you need to drive it with the door open. But then they wouldn’t be able to scalp $1200 to “fix” an obviously failed design. Did I mention the “fix” doesn’t work?
