re: PuttaDaForkDown v2.0

Yes, I love food and drink as well so it crept on. My husband says he loves me and does not care about the five lbs but he probably would care about the fifteen or twenty. He is a very fit guy, partially because I cook pretty healthy and he is obsessive about exercise, just loves to move.

At first I mostly threw a tantrum at the unfairness of it all...

Thanks for all the great advice. I went to Sam's to buy the smoked salmon and avocados and some grassfed beef. I also bought the cheese, we shall see how I tolerate it. Also bought some macadamia nuts...I will try to write down exactly what and how much I eat, and to drink enough water.
My husband says I need to adjust my expectations as to what my body will look like as I age, but I feel that I do not have to agree to getting heavier if I can adjust my behaviors. It just seems like this 5 lbs I have gained in a year is a slippery slope to somewhere I don't want to go.

I do not write down what I eat so tracking my macros seems intimidating. Is there a good app? Most days i have a tbsp of coffee booster-a shortcut to bullet proof coffee in my coffee. A few days a week I skip breakfast. I do use truvia but do not drink diet soda.On the other days i have a shake with egg white protein powder, spinach, almond milk and some almond butter or two eggs scrambled with a slice of bacon and leftover veggies. I may use fat to scramble them. I eat leftover meat and veggies for lunch unless i am on the road when I eat a low carb bar or some homemade chicken salad. I usually eat a handful of nuts in the afternoon. I eat grilled meat and vegetables for dinner- mostly zucchini, broccoli, spinach or green beans. If I am prepping I make sugar free coconut milk custards for dessert but mostly I am too disorganized. I guess I probably get too many calories. When I used ketostix my results are trace to small.
Exercise-weights 2-3 days a week. Walk-run 2-3 miles 4 days a week. Occasional spin class or bike ride.
I get discouraged when nothing happens and then I drink wine and eat candy, this is after a week of no results, but I know it doesn't help. Trying to be completely honest here.

Hi, i am a woman mid fifties, need to lose around 5 lbs. recently i have been trying to eat low carb/ keto but I find the keto cookbooks to be too complicated for everyday life and I also cook carbs for my family. I lost exactly 1/2 Lb in a week and a half.I think I might be eating too much protein. Any easy ways to add fat to meals to balance things out.? am allergic to whey protein so I need to limit cheese. I know other people are not making these complicated sauces... :banghead: iI do feel better and more energetic so it is an overall positive.

We will sometimes stop on the way home from Florida and just buy a chicken and some ribs to go. It is fine. I have eaten there once or twice. It is ok.

We did Plated for a while but the protein portions got way too small for us.

I think one conference is generally a lot stronger than the other. The Patriots had no real competition.

Originally they did get to the Wall...But the commercial was rejected by the NFL so it was edited. I did not know 84 Lumber was a progressive company.

We went...The food was pretty good. But the beer was mostly sours and other funky styles which I am ok with in small doses. Last year they had a much wider variety. Last night they has 1 Abbey Ale, a couple of farmhouse ales, a half dozen Saisons, a few blonds and many sours and spontaneously fermented beers. There was one tasty lambic porter and one Belgian IPA. Anyway, at least we are not hungover.
re: Why is the Mexican president so concerned that his people remain in the US?
Posted by TigerSTPelurker on 1/31/17 at 8:21 pm
That is why we need to put a tax on remittances. Think of it as an atm fee for taking money out of the US.

There actually is a state florist test. They give you just enough flowers and you have to produce competent arrangements, corsages, etc. it is totally ridiculous.

I never actually believed he was a homophobe. If this is true, I just don't get why you would wade into this...so fricking stupid. And actually morally wrong IMO. there are so many children who need stable homes.

I think B. They have already fallen some from their peak. Also houses are lasting longer on the market at least in my neighborhood, so therefore prices probably will fall some.
re: best nola parade/location for family
Posted by TigerSTPelurker on 1/27/17 at 3:19 pm
I agree on the parades already suggested but if you prefer a slightly smaller crowd and a family atmosphere, the first Sunday of Mardi Gras is good too. Anywhere on St Charles before Jackson Avenue is pretty safe. Area to avoid- the area more towards the interstate, the area across from the Avenue Pub, around MLK at night. We watch the parades at St Charles between first and second. I ride in King Arthur, we have 1200 riders this year! And there are three other parades the same day including Carrollton.
Not as familiar with Metairie Mardi Gras so Metairie people could tell you which parades are still good.

re: Week 16 Stat Corrections
Posted by TigerSTPelurker on 12/29/16 at 4:54 pm
It is a CBS commissioner league, where the commissioner has more power than the other leagues I play in. We have many unusual rules...I actually have to manually adjust scores a couple of times a year. It never has come up, probably because we don't lose points for turnovers and it is a non ppr. So I will just announce next year that all scores are not final pending stat corrections.

Thanks for the input. I just think I should have a rule in place, whatever it is,
