They'd probably have an advantage if Saban was still there, but it's almost an entirely new staff. We've also been in the market a lot longer, so if we are talking to him, I'd expect it to be much further along than any discussions with Bama.

Outstanding DB coaches don’t typically get fired by Kansas. Regardless, his name has not even been tentatively mentioned as a candidate. CR is seen as the fallback option if we can’t land a bigger fish.

The rumor is that in addition to the $20MM buyout in his contract, he also has $30MM in Nike stock that he only gets when he completes his contract. So Bama would have to come up with something in the $50MM range.

Slade Nagle has been the only name consistently mentioned by pay sites as TE coach for a few weeks now. You’re not really going out on much of a limb here.

Jancek was forced to fill in this year, but it’s been reported that he actually had no clue what he was doing. They absolutely had to bring in Jenkins or we would be operating even more like a team with no DL coach. Hard to believe it could’ve been worse, but it’s true.

It’s been heavily implied that Napier fired him because he got wind that Raymond was leaving. I was disappointed when CR’s name came up, but there’s been too much smoke for it not to be headed that way.
