I'm an avid football fan and have been all my life. This is simply a cultural question.

SEC Noob Question

Posted by RazorTex on 9/3/13 at 9:33 pm
Hi All,

First time poster here at SEC Rant. Went to my third SEC football game last saturday, first as a Razorback. Thought we looked good but that's a discussion for another time. The game that brought this question to my mind was LSU v. TCU. Now, as you should be able to tell from my username, I am from Texas. I'm new to SEC country and was taking in the LSU game at a party on campus. I wasn't actively rooting for TCU, nor was I rooting for LSU, but the guys around me were ridiculing me for not being heavily in favor of LSU winning the game. These guys were cheering for LSU as if it were their own school. Do the rest of you SEC folk cheer for the other SEC schools as if they were your own? Is LSU not supposed to be my chief rival? Help me out
