South Carolina defensive tackle Davonte Miles was arrested on Feb. 10 during a traffic stop and was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, first offense.

A firearm was also located in Miles' car. Per Yahoo Sports:

Miles was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana first offense, according to the release.

Miles, 22, was stopped around 1 p.m. near Bluff Road and South Stadium Road for an improper display of a vehicle tag and window tint violation, the release said.

A search was then conducted after smelling the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Approximately 20 individual bags of green plant material consistent with marijuana were found inside the car, according to the release.

He was taken to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center where he was awaiting a bond hearing.

The release said a firearm was also located in the search and seized.

"We are aware of the current situation and gathering more information at this time," a team spokesperson told The Greenville News in a statement.
