According to, the trial of accused Auburn tree poisoner Harvey Updyke has been put on hold because the judge in the case said the jury pool is so tainted that it would be impossible for Updyke to get a fair trial. “(The story) created more news and media attention about the case than there already was,”
The judge did grant a continuance in the case. He also said he’d consider the defense’s request for a change of venue at a later date.
