According to Al.com, the trial of accused Auburn tree poisoner Harvey Updyke has been put on hold because the judge in the case said the jury pool is so tainted that it would be impossible for Updyke to get a fair trial. This is a day after Updyke confessed to a student newspaper reporter during a break in court proceedings. Lee County Circuit Court Judge Jacob Walker said...

The judge did grant a continuance in the case. He also said he’d consider the defense’s request for a change of venue at a later date.
