Alabama Outland Trophy winner Barrett Jones is moving from left tackle to center as one of many new looks for Tide next season. Coach Nick Saban stressed Friday that it's a new team with several job openings...
quote:

"We obviously have a lot of opportunities for a lot of people out there," Saban said, adding that spring is the best time to move up the depth chart. "I think it's really important that we as a team understand that this is not the team that won the national championship. It's very, very important that this team dedicates itself and commits itself to creating an identity of its own. You've never arrived so you certainly can't feel satisfied or feel entitled."

Damn! They must have someone pretty damn good coming in to force him to move.

I don't think it was by force, necessarily, I think it was by choice. I think, I may be wrong, he projects as a center on the next level. But you're right, there probably will be a who is just as good they'll plug in the spot he moved from.

he is the smartest most versatile lineman they have. he played four other positions last year in the regular season game vs LSU. He lined up at left tackle, right tackle, tight end and H Back He is spectacular. When he went out with an injury, LSU took over that game.
With him in the game in the BCS champ game, Bama had the advantage at all times, him.
Wherever he was, the play succeeded. He will have a ten year career at center in the NFL.
